Urgent growth scan at 27+5?

I had my mat med appointment yesterday, I have Ankylosing spondylitis (spinal arthritis) so I'm consultant led. I was asked when my last scan was, it was at 20 weeks. The consultant was baffled as to why I hadn't been offered growth scans and said she'd book me in urgently. I've had a call this morning and booked in for this afternoon after work!

Anyone know why I would need to have a scan so urgently? And why I need growth scans at all? I'm obviously happy they're keeping an eye on baby I just wondered what the cause would be. Thanks!

I think if you're deemed high risk then you should automatically have a 28 week growth scan.

I'm exact same as you - 27+5! I had my growth scan this morning! :)

Sorry meant to say because of your spinal arthritis and being consultant led you may be treated the same as high risk.
