I have been feeling nauseous at various times of the day for the past few weeks for no apparent reason and have had a period which ended last week but decided to take a test to rule out pregnancy.

I stupidly peed on the windowBlushBlush

It is showing a very faint line on the test line but do not know whether it's a mistake.

Should have said...

Do people think that this is a false positive?

False positives aren't as common as false negatives so if there's a line then I'd more than likely say congrats!

Did you leave it longer than the recommended time? That could cause a false positive

lollypops321 · 04/09/2019 22:23

I read it (mulitiple times) within the 5 mins stated. Think I'm doubting it because my period has just ended a few days ago. Going to buy digital test tomorrow and try again.

If I'm honest I was hoping for a negative result as wanted to wait longer before another baby and was doing this test to rule pregnancy out before going to the GP regarding the nausea. Will have to see tomorrow

Me personally would read test as the control line is a bit dodgy aswel fingers crossed you get the result u won't xxx

DamnShesaSexyChick · 04/09/2019 23:08

No I wouldn't take that as a positive test best to do another one

lollypops321 · 04/09/2019 23:17

Second test came back negative. I brought a pack of two so will retest again in a week or so just to be sure. Thanks all for replying.
