Hey,
I'm roughly 10 weeks pregnant, and on some tablets to help with morning sickness which was really bad, i still feel sick through the day but i'm eating better than i was.
My problem is fluids, i can't drink milk because for some reason it effects my IBS, cuppas are rank to me now. Water, juice, flavoured water, ice tea, herbal teas just turns my stomach. I'm struggling right now with getting fluids down me, i'm having ..maybe.. a pint a day 😔 just the thought or looking at drinks turn my stomach, feeling very down and lonely.
Was wondering if anyone could recommend some drinks that helped them that could help me.

Also tried different types of milk, almond and lactos... just comes back up.

Someone help me!!!

I saw full sugar lemonade recommended on here and it really helped me. Flat if the bubbles don’t agree with you

I struggled with fluids too - still am a bit. I got through the worst week by eating ice lollies and fruit. Any way you can get fluids into you is good. Could you make some crushed ice drinks which are refreshing or sip iced water?

I'm surviving on clear lemonade but it has to be cold and not flat! I'm going to try putting water in the fridge to see if that makes it easier to get down. I've also seen people recommend sucking ice cubes or ice lollies. Foods like fruit and soup also contain water so might help xx

Have you tried crunching ice or eating ice lollies? The texture etc is very different so you might be able to handle it better :)

For a brief period of time I swore by fizzy drinks having never really drank them often before pregnancy.

Ice lollies, fizzy drinks (not ideal but it’s liquid), fruit smoothie, ice, fizzy water?! I can’t drink water but I can drink cold squash. So I’m having lemon squash with a loads ice and ice lollies! I’m not drinking anywhere near enough really but it’s keeping me at a non-dehydrated point!

Sometimes when I’m over sweet tastes, I just force water down. It tastes grim but I know I need it..

If you are feeling very rough from not drinking, do get yourself back to the doctor to be checked for dehydration. It’s quite dangerous & the doc can do a quick test for ketones in your wee! You may need a boost of fluids from hospital!

Another vote for lemonade and ice lollies. I think they stopped me needing a hospital visit.

Ice lollys did work when i was 5 week, but now it seems to make me gip.
My husband has run into town this morning to get me some smoothies and a straw, i heard straws could help.
Fizzy pop is now next on my list, couldn't drink it before even if it was flat, so will give it a whirl. If nothing works then i think another trip to the doctors will be next, it is so tiring though.
Thank you everyone x feel a bit better knowing i'm not alonex
