Has anyone had this for hyperemesis and did it work? I've had cyclizine and ondansetron both haven't worked. I'm really hoping this works! Being stuck in hospital is no fun.

I had it, and it definitely stopped me being sick. It did give me horrible extrapyramidal side effects and anxiety though, so I only lasted two days on it. Hopefully you’re luckier - HG is awful Flowers Ondansetron was my lifesaver, but I know a combination of a few drugs works for some people too.

I take it along with Ondansetron! It’s been a bit helpful.. Ondansetron stops me projectile vomiting. Metaclopromide is an anti-emetic & speeds up your digestive system which is no negative in pregnancy! I was getting sick from my food feeling like it got stuck in my stomach, I’d move and throw up undigested food. The Metaclopromide has stopped that totally and taken an inch off the extreme nausea!

I take them at regular intervals, so I’ve always got some form of anti-vomit med in me!

Sorry to hear the Ondansetron hasn’t helped, it’s usually the best drug although Metaclopromide has a decent reputation as well!

I hope it helps you, it’s truly awful to be this poorly. 🧡

I love it. Stops the sickness and helps to keep me 'regular' Wink

I had these ! Brilliant ! All the other anti sickness meds made me drowsy . But these didn't I took them from 20 weeks with my first & from 7 weeks with my second Thanks

I was the same as @Guineapiggiesmalls and had the same symptoms and couldn’t take it more than one day. The side effects were horrendous but it sounds like many people don’t have the side effects. Hope they help.

I had it and had severe tardive dyskinesia from it I had to be hospitalised :( it made me vomit more as the effects wore off but it induces seriously scary eye rolling and I couldn’t swallow - as well as not being able to move my limbs as they all curled up

Ibizababyy · 06/09/2019 16:30

Currently prescribed this after cyclizine did nothing for me. It definately takes the edge off and has rescued actual vomiting! Don’t have any side effects unlike cyclizine which made me a zombie!
