Hot water bottle at 35 weeks pregnant

Hi guys,

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and in agony with my ribs as baby has somehow either moved or started kicking harder but the pain is making me get really worked up and upset.

Is there any way I can use a hot water bottle? I was thinking of putting it above my (really thick) dressing gown so it shouldn't burn the baby but that said I'm concerned of putting direct heat on him

Any ideas?

Paracetamol doesn't help and the pain and I think I'd struggle getting in and out the bath as I can't bend

Any help is really appreciated xx

If it doesn't burn you, it doesn't burn the baby. Put a hot water bottle cover on it and you and your baby will be absolutely fine. I hope you feel better. I'm getting that rib discomfort too.

Its fine to use a hot water bottle I was constantly laid on one the last two weeks

Great!! I've been in so much pain, no idea it would be this uncomfortable

The rib pain, so uncomfortable! I found in my previous pregnancy that a bag of frozen peas on the area gave me some relief. The pain disappeared as soon as dd was born, so not long to go now.
