Hello all!
I'm fairly new to Surrey, and brand new to this website, so pls be gentle :)
I have been looking into maternity unit options and would love some guidance on experiences you have all had - which hospital to avoid, which ones are recommended? I live in Egham, so St Peter's hospital is closest but not heard great things about it... help!
Thanks!

Hello! Currently at Royal Surrey and having a positive experience so far (am 21 weeks). They also apparently have an amazing home birth team if that's something you are interested in too... I haven't quite made my mind up yet! Previously had DD1 at St Thomas' in london, which was so much more chaotic and unorganised... and huge.

I am at St. Peter's. Currently 24w. Quite happy with them so far. Heard good things and they have good NHS reviews/score plus a recently renovated labour wing.

I used to live in Egham!

I started at St Peters. Awful awful place. I knew I had pre-eclampsia so went to hospital, they tutted and sent me home.

DM saw how poorly I was and took me to Frimley. They saw me immediately and rushed me to the operating theatre for a emcs. I had DS that day. He was very ill for quite a while, but Frimley definitely saved me and DS's life. (I thank the consultant Dr Elkington in my head everyday)

This was 11yrs ago, so St Peters might have improved.....
