From breech to a big baby - can anyone share?

Went for a scan today as baby had been breech for the last 4 weeks and midwife confirmed yest that baby still was, fast forward to presentation scan today and baby is head down!
Only new revelation from today was that babies belly is measuring large, they mentioned anything up to 95th being normal for 36 weeks but my baby is measuring 96th so I've to arrange an appointment with consultant.
Feel a bit overwhelmed, not really sure what it means for babies belly to be measuring too big, worried I've been eating too much etc?
If anyone has any similar experience they could share it would be appreciated - TIA!

No wisdom to offer but I'm in a similar situation. 35+2, was breech until 2 days ago, head measuring fine but waist measuring big. Got a second glucose tolerance test tomorrow morning (had one at 28 weeks which came back fine), and an appointment with the consultant at 38 weeks.

Hope someone comes along soon who can offer some advice/experience Thanks

I was in a similar(ish) situation with DD. Breech until 39 weeks and then she flipped over three days before my planned c sec. Went for a scan and they were concerned about baby's size but couldn't really tell me why she might have gone from 60th to 95th percentile in the space of a few weeks. In the end the consultant said they'd induce on my due date and little one was born by emergency c sec the day after that.

I didnt find the midwives or consultant particularly helpful or informative about DD's size tbh - I think sometimes these things happen. But then they also told me I was having a boy and I had a girl 😂

What I can't help with is whether a big belly is an indicator of anything in particular. Sending you a big hand hold though, the unknown is very unpleasant at the end of a pregnancy, I get it.

My baby was measuring on the 97th on my 36 week scan, she has a big belly too. I had glucose in my urine at 34 weeks so I have gestational diabetes but currently diet controlled. Just gotta watch my carb in take and eat more protein x

Forgot to say I am getting induced at 39 weeks due to her estimated size, also have a sweep today and another next week x

Thanks all! I had a midwife appt today and she didnt seem too concerned, she mentioned that I'm tall, so a big baby shouldn't be a surprise?! She measured my bump and it was 38, I'm currently 36+5.
I have a consultant appt early next week so hope to find out more then.
GD was one of the first things I thought of. I've never had a glucose test, just asked repeatedly if there was a family history which there isn't, and I've assumed if there was potential for me to have had it, something would have flagged up in urine or bloods 🤷‍♀️
We'll see next week I suppose, thanks all!
