I am due to sign my a new job contract tomorrow with my dads firm and found out last week i am pregnant (5 weeks or so)

We havent told anyone about it yet of course but i was wondering if anyone would suggest being honest with my dad before i sign or just sign it incase he changes his mind and doesnt give me the job??

We have a 10 month old and although me and my dad arent close we dont have a bad relationship, we just dont talk much.

I am really worried about his reaction. Only because he has just decided to take me on and i dont want to seem like a burden.

Honestly I'd just sign.l and say you found out a few days later.

Businesses shouldn't discriminate against you and if your own Dad is prepared to renage on a job offer be ause your pregnant, he doesn't deserve honesty at this point.

I'd be honest if you intend not to return after baby but otherwise I'd tell him at about 8 weeks

Thank you @SleepingStandingUp

I hate feeling like im being dishonest but really need this job too. I'll wait 2 weeks and try to act surprised.

God how am I going to tell him!!

Tell hi mtbe same you you told him about your other one, just lie when he asks when you found out. Don't mention work or apologise or act like he should be anything but an excited Grandad. It's not like most people pee on a stick and then tell everyone, most people wait a few weeks until they're further along

I honestly feel loads better just talking it through with you. He should be happy and anyway he cant change it! Thank you @SleepingStandingUp

I will be absolutely unapologetic!! Its just awkward timing🤗

It is, but you still deserve the job. Good luck
