Due May 2020 - could do with a buddy!

Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

@CharlieB93 I am in the same boat! My nausea really comes in waves and there's no pattern to it at all. Some days I feel absolutely fine and then other days I feel shocking! Everyone's different and apparently after week 9 things are supposed to cool down a little anyway :) 💗

Is anyone else being seen by the perinatal mental heath team or has been in a previous pregnancy ??

I’m having my first nausea free day in over two weeks! I made sure I ate a breakfast biscuit as soon as I opened my eyes this morning and it’s seems to have done the trick. Yesterday was so bad...I’m so happy to have a normal day 😊

@Shelbustotherescue hey lovely Ill be under perinatal mental health unit following pre natal anxiety and PND after DC3 although no sign of much anxiety yet don't know if that's a good or a bad sign but I'll definitely take all the extra support I can get

@Mystie thank you - were you seen by them before ?

They are putting me under the care of the team as a precaution as I am in recent recovery of an eating disorder and also suffer with anxiety & depression

I'm really worried about slipping with my mental health but also worried that if I do, they'll take the baby away once it's here

9+3 here and have found weeks 8-10 the hardest. Not really because of sickness but because I am so tired by the time I get home from work that I feel sick just from that! I am still eating like every hour, I find it really helps. Also drinking tons of water and have to wee at least once an hour, also up 2-3 times a night now 🙈

having stabbing pains in my back / left side today which is where baby is, I do hope it’s just baby growing and things stretching, it’s very uncomfortable ☹️

@Sunshine8888 what's you due date? I think we're about the same, my calculations are may the 4th

God i don’t know if the anxiety from the scan wasn’t allowing my body to feel what it wants to feel but I woke up with awful nausea this morning. I’ve managed to eat which made me feel heaps better but came back on again and I’ve just had lunch. Maybe I won’t escape nausea after all! With my DD I went off meat/chicken for 3 weeks the thought of chewing it made me gag.

Anyhoo, have people started thinking about names? Decided on if they will find out or not. Thought it would be a nice chat to start

@Shelbustotherescue haven't seen them as yet but know people who have and they've had great things to say. I'm sure it does depend on where you live regarding support services but I really wouldn't worry about them taking your baby away, they definitely wouldn't do that, they are there to support and help you through your pregnancy without judgement or blame. Pregnancy is such a difficult journey even more so when you have other pre existing issues to contend with. My advice would be take all the help you can get and be extra kind to yourself 😘

@Bumpingalong84 I wanna start thinking of names but the drama it caused me and OH the first time around is putting me off even mentioning it hahaha! I didnt find out with my first and id do it again but feel like I need to be more prepared this time with a loft full of blue stuff!!

The nausea is easing a little for me thankfully but my sense of smell is through the roof, I work in a nursery and a little boy poo'd and I was gagging my head off also there is something stinky in my fridge that makes me gag whenevet I open it but my partner cant smell it haha!!! Also, TMI, but I am struggling to go to the loo massively! Affected me in prev pregnancy but not this early - probs all the carbs im eating yuk!!!

Hi all. Thanks for your well wishes for the scan - I had one this morning and it was an internal. Saw a heartbeat 💗 They said I was 6+1 but from my calculations (I tracked BBT) I am 7+2.. has anyone else had this where they were told the incorrect date? X

@danielasummer congratulations. it's not unusual to be given a different date than your calculations and in your next scan it might change/ correct back. i wouldn't worry about it at all x you must be relieved x hugs

Hi @danielasummer huge congratulation. It’s so reassuring right. On my scan yesterday I was dated 6+2 when by my calculations I should have been 6+5 and by lmp I was 7+1. I was told not too worry as it can change as what they are measuring is so tiny. I’m having another scan at 10+2 ( by new dates) so will be interesting if I’m still measuring the same.

@danielasummer aww that's so exciting! My scan yesterday put me a couple days forward... and when I had my early scans with my first (had a few due to pains) my due date changed a lot every time so please don't worry! You won't get an official due date until your 12 week scan and at that point it won't change regardless of and future scans :)
So glad you enjoyed the scan and saw the little heart beat 💗

Hey ladies! So I found out the day after my wedding I was pregnant! 🙊 I'm currently 5+5 and the nausea and sickness has started today.
I really want a private scan and cant decide to go at 7+1 or 8+1? 🤔 I'm thinking 8+1 then if my dates are wrong hopefully will still see a flicker...but I am extremely impatient 🤣

How is everyone feeling?

@BeautyAndTheBump1 congratulations! Wow what an amazing wedding present. I agree probably best to wait til 8+1, I went for a scan when I thought I was 7w and they didn't see anything but said I was only measuring 5w so that is quite normal. Hopefully that means everything's ok but the 2 week wait is so hard!

@danielasummer so glad you saw a heartbeat 💓 lovely! Don’t worry, I’m 11 weeks tomorrow but if we go from LMP but at my scan on Saturday I was 9 so I’m about ten days out! Crazy

@BeautyAndTheBump1 congrats! Are you also on the made for mums forum by any chance? I replied to a similar post on there to someone with the same name ☺️ I’d say go at 8+ weeks x

In regards to dates, what is everyone going by? LMP or early scan dates.
if i go by my LMP i'm 9+6 but my last scan measured 5 days ahead so currently 10+1 from the scan.

I have another scan sunday but whether i should go by LMP until the 12 week scan?
