Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

@Wishful30 I'm feeling totally deflated as well thought my bleeding had stopped yesterday but it has started again, second blood test tomorrow but got to wait until Friday for the results, just want this to be over if it is :(

Wishful30 · 01/10/2019 10:59

@Mystie I am so with you. I just want to know either way. I'm having bloods Thursday am and the nurse has promised to call me Friday morning around 9am with the results.
Keeping everything crossed for both of us 🤞🏻
How far along are you? I'm only 5+3 today

november90 · 01/10/2019 11:38

@Wishful30 @Mystie I'm thinking of you both. You're such strong women to go through this and dealing with all the nerves and anxiety, I just hope you both get the answers you want and need!! It feels so unfair that we have to wait so long, have they given you any advise from the first test?

I have my early scan this evening and I'm so excited and nervous. Today I am so bloated, absolutely exhausted and feeling a bit sickly. I've also got a rotten headache and have had on and off for a week or so! Anyone else suffering from headaches? It's just so rotten and I daren't take paracetamol!!!

Raindancer411 · 01/10/2019 11:45

The midwife contacted me with the first appointment date today. Feeling sorry for myself as don't know what to drink (find it hard to stomach most things) and feeling very sick :( She reckons I am about 7 weeks from my dates on the self referral.

Wishful30 · 01/10/2019 12:25

It's the little things like, feeling really hungry and then not being able to eat as much.
Or, having a burger and chips and really fancying some kinda chutney.. so I had mango chutney with my lunch... keeps a little hope inside 😂

Mystie · 01/10/2019 13:07

@Wishful30 my doctors ringing first thing Friday morning as well with the same results, praying we both get good news lovely. I'm 6w2d or thereabouts x

Mystie · 01/10/2019 13:10

@november90 I've been getting headaches over the last few days very normal and a good sign your hormone levels are still soaring however painful. Had my first blood test yesterday but don't think they'll call me until they have the two results x

Anyone looking for a good 2 hours escape from pregnancy highs and lows.. Transparent the Musical on Amazon Prime is very good (be warned you may well still cry!)

zoemelb · 01/10/2019 15:32

Good news for me. The EPU doctor shows us the heartbeat and the baby (he/she grows a lot compared to the 2 weeks before). He dated me 7+5 (I thought will be 6- 7 weeks based on previous scan). So don't give up hope if you bleed, even with clots, and I have cramps too on and off. Even now, I still feel my stomach stretch. Having the midwife appointment tomorrow as well. I'm going to book for private scan in 2 weeks so that we can have pictures.

Mystie · 01/10/2019 15:41

@zoemelb omg i'm soooo happy for you!!!!! That is the best news you must be over the moon Grin

zoemelb · 01/10/2019 15:51

@Mystie : we are over the moon. I were worry when at first it looks like there is nothing in my stomach. Then he turns the other side a bit and saw the sac, and then he shows us on the screen, there is the baby (looks like already have head and some tiny fingers or maybe I imagined) and the heartbeat (I can't see much tbh, but my husband said he saw some flickering).

Mystie · 01/10/2019 15:54

@zoemelb that's such amazing news, praying that our outcome will be the same! So happy for you thanks for sharing your experience I'm sure it will defo give hope to other expectant mums xxx

zoemelb · 01/10/2019 16:13

@Mystie thanks. Hope it will be good news for other expectant mums here as well.

Congratulations @jeffsar4 such great news!!

As for constipation, I suffer with IBD and was thoroughly surprised to find I was constipated 😂
But within a day it's gone the total opposite way 🙄
Maybe increase your fibre intake. Prune juice is supposed to be good? 🤢

Bumpingalong84 · 01/10/2019 18:24

Another good scan here 😊 so pleased to hear all the good news. Saw our little bean with a heartbeat, measuring 6+2 when lmp should be 7+1 but I know I ovulated later in my cycle as used clearblue ovulation sticks. She said it’s grown the perfect amount it should since last scan.

Due to the mmc in May she was really lovely and offered us a scan at 10weeks. So bloody relieved. She also saw a haematoma so that caused my bleeding and she said it was resolving so might find a bit more brown so that’s reassuring to know. Phew what a day

facevalue · 01/10/2019 18:33

@bumpingalong84 absolutely fantastic news xxx well done you and hope your next scan is as good x

my scan is tomorrow 🥵

november90 · 01/10/2019 18:37

So I've just had my early scan! Measuring at 7 weeks and 6 days which is a little further ahead then I thought but what do I know 😂
13.7mm with a heartbeat of 154 bpm and I actually heard it 😍
She said she saw the yolk sac which is a really positive sign. I have a tilted uterus so it's hard to see much at this stage... but wow ❤️
Who ever you are, I love you so much already!
Think I'm gonna tell my Dad tonight (my mum already knows) but I just feel so nervous and embarrassed for absolutely no reason at all 🙈
