Due May 2020 - could do with a buddy!

Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

@Wishful30 oh have you not told him yet?? 😆 I'm getting abit chopped off but mines half way down my back and I want a straight cut to give it the illusion of being fuller 😅 hope these baby hormones work their magic too!

@Bumpingalong84 oh that's alright then, my friend who's PG got me really worried about it all 😅 she was all 'I'll probably wait till after the pregnancy' I thought dear god mine will look horrific! It's bad enough already

@Bumpingalong84 good luck with the scan today. My scan is today as well, I'm a nervous wreck.

Woken up feeling super anxious, and nauseous. Thinking it’s probably nerves. Scans not until this later this afternoon 😩 it’s gonna be a long day but at least we will know one way or another by the end of today.

Had some more stringy stuff yesterday and a larger bit just now. I'm kinda thinking I'm having a missed miscarriage or whatever it is they call it. As this happens a few hours after a bit of cramping.
I've not slept at all the last 2 nights, keep waking up hot or dh snoring 🤦🏻‍♀️
Had an upset tummy since yesterday too, which which the hormones kicked off my ibd in November during the MC. Tho that was a lot more dramatic.
I know it's not over till I'm told it's over, but I'm loosing hope I'm afraid 😔

@Bumpingalong84 : I bled at 4-5 weeks (doctor's measure), I was 7 weeks from LMP though. EPU told me to do a re-scan after 2 weeks to check for heartbeat. I bled again a week after (with some small clots). Finally it's time for the scan. Mine is 11am, so just waiting to go now. Trying to watch Netflix to pass time as well.

@zoemelb ahh that must have felt like the longest two weeks. It’s amazing how many stories you read about where women bleed and everything is fine. So fingers crossed all is fine and you see a lovely little heartbeat today 😊

@bumpinglong84 : it does feel the longest two weeks ever. But it finally comes. The EPU just called to change the time to later, so I guess I will have the similar scan time with you.
@Wishful30 : it was like red tissues, 2 small tissues - my husband said could be old blood clotting - but my bleeding stops after 2-3 times wipes going to the toilet. Still have punk wipe a few days later in the morning. My symptoms are on and off though, so some day I thought it must have gone, some day I think it's still there, no idea to be honest, and exhausted from all the thought, so just let it happens and wait.

@zoemelb yeah, think I've fried my brain overthinking.
I can read one thing that says it's common and totally normal, but then read about miscarriage and it points to that too 🤷🏻‍♀️
Just fearing the worst now, and constantly mild cramps on/off.
Nothing I can do but ride it out and wait for test results Friday 😑

@Wishful30 it is so so stressful and your brain will play all sorts of tricks and it will be a yo-yo of emotions. hope your scan is reassuring x hugs

@facevalue no sign of scans yet. Just a repeat blood test Thursday to make sure my hormones are increasing. Feeling very deflated today

@Bumpingalong84 it's nerve wrecking i'm sure. all the best for the scan and that you hear a loud and strong heart beat this time x be kind to yourself xxx

I've just taken today off work too. Rather upset tummy. And just feel really bloody miserable.

I've read not to take Imodium in early pregnancy... but also read it's fine 🙄
any ideas anyone??

@Wishful30 you poor thing. i've not taken it before. it will say on leaflet or u can call boots pharmacy to ask a pharmacist. if your body is trying to get rid of something upsetting it's best to let it run its course. i get upset tummy when i'm anxious it's well known effect of stress on the gut. drink lots of water and try plain boiled rice and dry toast x hope it settles soon

Today is interesting. Don't eat = dry heaving. Eat bland food = dry heaving. Am I hungry or am I nauseous?? I just don't know. Drinking also = dry heaving. Don't get me wrong, I feel super blessed to be pregnant after our losses, but I no longer feel my body is my own 🤣

7+6 today with a mouth full of saliva. 🤢
