Due May 2020 - could do with a buddy!

Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

It's weird saying it out loud isn't it. The first person I said it to was a barman at a hotel in Edinburgh! Had a couple nights away.. They asked why I didn't want a free welcome drink (prosecco). Literally made me say it. Was weird!!

Made me feel a bit emotional saying it out loud. The nurse was so lovely too.
Didn't help i turned up early so waited 20mins sitting next to a little bubba who was there for his injections. 🤗
Turned up for my bloods... pregnant lady the only one in the room lol

It's like buying a car, you don't notice your make anywhere until you've bought one 😂
Everywhere I look there's babies and pregnant people 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyone watching anything good on Netflix or Amazon at the moment? Could do with some recommendations while I'm sofa bound!!

Hi guys hope you are all well and coping with the array of (wonderful) pregnancy symptoms haha...
I was just wondering - what excuse are you giving when friends etc ask you to go out? I feel so bad, i've let one of my best friends down as I was supposed to be going out for her birthday, she hasn't a clue that i'm pregnant but I just had to lie and say i'd already got something planned (even though i agreed the date ages before!)
Also one of my friends keeps asking me to come to the pub for a catch up - i'm running out of excuses!!

Need help if anyone has the answer? 😅 I have a hair appointment booked in for Wednesday, I'll be around 7+6 according to the midwife as she's going off LMP not my private scan 🤷🏼‍♀️ anyway I've heard you shouldn't have your hair dyed before 12 weeks of pregnancy, has anyone got experience with this? If I can I'll just get it cut for now but just wanting to know so I can let the salon know

@flossy12 I'm booked in for Saturday and have read that dye does not go into your blood stream so is fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was due to have a tattoo done too, but theres not enough research into tattoo ink so I'm gonna just avoid that one for now.

@Wishful30 yeah I was due to book a tattoo in as well 😂 guess I won't bother now 😂 spoken to my stylist and she's said there will be very limited harm to baby as we aren't putting dye anywhere near the scalp ☺️☺️

@flossy12 I plan on getting highlights, so same idea I guess.

Getting my below bra strap hair chopped to just below my ears 😱😂
Then (all going to plan) when my husband is trying to get over that, I'll tell him we're having a baby lol

Can't believe I gotta wait till Friday to find out if things are actually progressing as they should be 😑

@Wishful30 god I know how you feel! HCG blood tests will come back on Friday so at least that will hopefully be a boost before the scan on Monday, at least we are one day down almost!!

I have a tattoo booked for February the artist has a 2 year waiting list and I've been waiting soooo long! Oh well I know what I'd rather have lol

@cornishTJ yes I second The Capture, but if you want something more gentle Doc Martin's just started again

@cornishTJ not sure what kind of thing you’re into but The Good Place is brilliant. It’s funny and clever but a really easy watch. If you want something more serious then Mad Men is probably one of my favourite shows of all time! I believe that’s on Netflix now.

@CharlieB93 Oh I’m really struggling with this both at work and with my friends! If I go out somewhere, I’ll drive there so I’ve got that as an excuse.

Evening all.

Last night I had zero nausea and my boobs weren't anywhere near as sore. I will admit I was expecting the worst.
Woke up this morning with my boobs even more sore and the nausea has been icky today, had to run to the toilets and had dry heaves a few times.

7+5 and these early hormones are weird!

Lots of crampy stretchy feelings today, bit scary because my brain thinks the worst. Just hoping and praying all continues and we end up with a healthy baby or babies.

@Doodlebug321 my symptoms come and go like crazy I’ll feel really sick for a few days then it’ll vanish which should be good but makes me panic!

@flossy12 I had my hair dyed all through my pregnancy from like 6 weeks so as your hair dresser said it’s fine.

Getting all anxious pre scan tomorrow. Again not much on the nausea front today, but even after a good nights sleep I feel exhausted, my boobs are huge, and I am soooo bloated today, my daughter actually told me my tummy is big 🙈

Anyone already thinking names? It’s obviously hard not to. If all is ok tomorrow I told DH I’m convinced it’s a boy!

Thanks for your recommendations ladies. Ended up watching 'unbelievable' on Netflix. Very good if you like heavy crime things! Might give The Capture a go (if I'm unlucky to have more sick days) as it seems in similar vain.
yeh I noticed there was a new series of The Good place! So good. Annoyingly I watch that with my bf so need to wait for that one 😂 mad men is also awesome.. might be worth a re watch at some point!

Luckily I'm feeling lots better this evening. Seem to be allergic to weekends and Mondays at the moment.

Yep @cornishTJ they’ve been hard since 5 weeks 🙈 usually when I’m warm or in a hot bath they go a bit flat, but nope! Constantly erect 🙈

Maybe too much info but anyone else experience any bleeding after a bowel movement?! I haven’t had any bleeding all day which is amazing for me seeing as I’ve bled all week, but just after my BM i have had some red when I wipe.

Yep constantly erect @cornishTJ my boobs have gone huge as well, my bras don’t fit I really need to buy new ones but don’t want to jinx it before the scan!

@Bumpingalong84 good luck for tomorrow lovely. Keep us posted. I know we are in the same boat you and I. I've also had a lack of sickness, just the occasional nausea but my boobs are very sore and currently look like a road map they are so veiny! Anyone else?

Boobs are sore here, feel like they’re bruised or something had a really uncomfortable stomach today! Feel massively bloated
