Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

Gotta love predictive text 😂

Helensss · 29/09/2019 09:54

Good luck for all appts! Does anyone know if they check hcg levels after 1st midwife appt? She took my bloods and she said not to worry unless I hear back, I haven’t which is good but it would be reassuring if i knew they checked levels?

Sunshine8888 · 29/09/2019 10:21

I’m sorry @bumpingalong84, that must have been so hard 😥 I really hope this time is your time x

I think it is pretty rare to see a heartbeat at 8+ weeks and then things go wrong ladies, that‘s what I’m telling myself anyway. In America they have their scans at 8 weeks and 18 weeks. I am speaking to ladies who then tell people after their 8 week scan. That makes me think that if everything is looking good at 8 weeks, there must be a very good chance (greater than 98%) that the pregnancy will progress 🤞🏻 Just hope this helps anyone who like me is living with constant anxiety through the first trimester. X

Sunshine8888 · 29/09/2019 10:22

@Wishful30 I read this too, I’m convinced I’m having a boy!

Helensss · 29/09/2019 10:30

That does help @sunshine8888 I haven’t had a scan but feeling very rough so I’m hoping that’s a good thing to get this far after 3 early mc..
Comforting to see other people panicking as much as me too 😂

GinUnicorn · 29/09/2019 11:04

Wishful not much really to add but wanted to say still thinking about you.

Hi to all the new joiners x

ChampooPapi · 29/09/2019 12:49

@Wishful30 well that sounds true with my past two who have been girls so this third could be another!

Wishful30 · 29/09/2019 12:56

Aah thanks @GinUnicorn 😘

Well, if it's true, then even at this early stage I guess mines a boy too 😂
I actually had a dream I was pregnant before I even knew (this has happened before)
And it was a boy then too. Lol and I always wished for a girl.
Now I appreciate how difficult things can be, so long as it's healthy i do not care!!! 🤞🏻

aredon · 29/09/2019 13:05

Hiya, late to the thread but please can I join?
I'm 6+1 with my first 😊 and am very very nervous! Sickness kicked in yesterday; I've been so tired and very crampy, which had been worrying!

MarshmallowsOnToast · 29/09/2019 13:08

Just had some poached eggs on toast.

It was the best thing I think I've ever eaten 😂😂

Mystie · 29/09/2019 13:18

Anyone else reaching new levels of miserable today?

Reassured that my hormones are raging as they should be but feel so sorry for anyone who crosses my path today, even the dogs are keeping their distance!

mrsf1204 · 29/09/2019 13:48

Bit of a grim one, but anyone else suffering with diarrhoea?! We had a wedding yesterday so not only did I have to hide not drinking, my emotion that something might be wrong (see previous posts) but also had to keeping popping to the loo for 💩 I've read this can be a thing?!?

Raindancer411 · 29/09/2019 14:47

I have a really bad sickness feeling all day long at the moment :( Was the same with my son, and I had it nearly to full term

facevalue · 29/09/2019 15:05

@Raindancer411 i'm really suffering today.. constant nausea .. i thought pizza is nice and fatty but no it was rejected.. i managed cornflakes and cold milk 😍 nothing else

Raindancer411 · 29/09/2019 15:37

Yes I had cereal and milk and did manage a ham sarnie at lunch. Trying a roast with sausages for dinner. All I managed yesterday was veg and then cheese and crackers. Hardest thing is finding things to drink

Wishful30 · 29/09/2019 16:57

Gaaaa I wish this spotting would do one, it's driving me mad!
Got some little clots again (brown) what does that even mean 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

november90 · 29/09/2019 18:40

@mrsf1204 yep! I'm having the same issue 🙈 I think it's because of all the crap food I'm eating and the nausea.... it's effecting me like that instead of actually being sick! It's been giving me a bit of anxiety the past few days though as it's just a bit embarrassing! I don't really know what to eat but at the same time.... I'm "off" so many foods at the minute so I don't have a lot of choice!
I've looked up online and it sounds normal :) I also remember having this issue first time around!

Helensss · 29/09/2019 18:42

@Wishful30 ☹️ I don’t know if this’ll help or not but my friend had a week passing brown clots at the beginning of her pregnancy. There was no explanation but her baby is nearly one now!

Wishful30 · 29/09/2019 18:49

@Helensss yes it does thankyou!
It's so 50/50 as to whether it's a threatening miscarriage or not... but it's been like this a week now so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤞🏻

november90 · 29/09/2019 18:50

I've been looking up all the old wives tales too 🙈 But I've come to the conclusion there's nothing in them as when I've read posts everyone's saying something different!

My first was a boy and I remember having a lot of nausea. I craved all foods, sweet and savoury... I ate everything! I put weight on my bum and thighs, but I always do! I don't remember having particularly hairy legs (apparently this is a theory!), I i was more spotty then normal.... I can't really remember anything else!
I just knew he was a boy though... I had an early scan and I called him a he by accident and from then on I just knew!

I'm genuinely not swaying towards wanting either gender more, I can't wait to see my boy with either a brother or a sister! He will love either and I just can't wait to see our family grow and fill my already full heart with even more love ☺️ But at the same time I can't wait to find out so I can buy clothes, chose names and day dream :)

Anyone else having feelings about gender? :) it's so exciting!

november90 · 29/09/2019 18:51

Ps I've been so excited for a dominos tonight with DH and all of a sudden I feel RANK!!!!!! I'm gonna chance it anyway, wish me luck 🙈

Helensss · 29/09/2019 18:53

@Wishful30 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I had 3 early mc this year and they all started very quickly and got a negative test all three times the day I started bleeding. So I think it’s good you are getting good tests? I’m no expert though!

Wishful30 · 29/09/2019 18:57

@Helensss so sorry to hear that! 🙁
But I totally agree. My mc in November happened pretty abruptly and fairly painfully too. Very obvious to be honest.
I've never made it this far along so I'm excited and terrified all at the same time!

I've still not told my husband 😂

Clairesoph · 29/09/2019 19:01

@november90 literally the same here! I knew my first was a boy, I just had a feeling and when they put him on my chest they asked my partner to tell me and he couldnt speak for tears and I was like "its a boy" haha! Keep seeing 4 magpies though! Id love a surprise again but not practical this time around when I already have a tonne of boy stuff, need to prepare for either or! I think ill go for my booking in appt this week I need some pregnancy notes or something to make it feel more real 😩

GinUnicorn · 29/09/2019 19:05

November I’m getting really strong girl vibes. My first was a girl and I was convinced with her too. I’d be happy with either as long as healthy
