Due May 2020 - could do with a buddy!

Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

@november90 food isnt doing it for me either atm apart from crackers and cheese! (Not very healthy!) and pineapple everything else tastes really bland and yucky i even think you could give me a chilli and id still say it was bland 🙈

Feeling really bad today. Banging headache and nausea. Almost migrainey again. 😒 just sleeping on and off.

@november90 i'm definitely off my food and its tasteless or like it's got perfume in... funny taste.. i'm struggling to keep my fluids up and my pee is orange ( TMI) sorry x

@Shelbustotherescue jeeze! Well next scan I'll have now will be the 12 week I think, not sure I'll bother to book one in between 😅 wonder if she meant 8mm instead of 18?

The woman was late to open up the shop and there was 3 of us waiting so felt it could have been slightly rushed but she was very pleasant and efficient

@Sunshine8888 I think she might have meant 8mm, as my LMP was 8th August and I have cycles of 32 days so I couldn't be further along

Ps. I definitely burst into tears when she said there was a heartbeat. I think all the bleeding and lack of sickness had me believing the worst! I haven’t gone off food at all, opposite in fact! I’m eating tons and frequently 🙈

@facevalue that's exactly how mine is as well but keep worrying from things I read that it's really dangerous. It's just hard when your so nauseous.

Well, still cramping and the discharge went from brown to pinkish. Had some stabby pains too. Few brown clots 😐
Feeling the worst but just tested positive still so keeping everything crossed.
Comfort food for tonight. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings 🤞🏻

Had my scan today measuring at about 6 weeks. Couldn’t get a clear pic of baby yet as she said it was too early but she said I should go back in two weeks for another scan.

Has anyone download the Shell app to listen to their babies heartbeat ? I downloaded and have managed to find the heartbeat three times now since yesterday ! It's definitely the babies and not mine - put my mind at rest so much !!!

@Wishful30 oh no I'm sorry to hear this! Have you contacted the doctors? They should defiantly scan you with pain and bleeding! If you haven't done so then I really would recommend it as it could be something or nothing and you might not need to worry!
I'm keeping everything crossed for you! How far along are you now?

I have an appointment booked for Monday. I know there's nothing they can do either way, so I'm going to rest up and hope for the best. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Just started munching on a bag of minstrels and then thought... nope, caffeine 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄
I drink very little usually, but forgot my de-caff tea at work today, so already had a lot more than normal.
My las mc was at 4+4 so I'd started getting my hopes up. We're starting ivf soon, I really was hoping we might just have a little miracle. 😒

We don't get our first midwife appointment/scan here until 12 weeks... such a long time to wait!

@Wishful30 I’ve also had a fair bit of brown discharge. No more red thank god but even the brown is worrying me. Had a scan last week 4mm embryo but no heartbeat yet. Hoping they see a heartbeat this Tuesday.

My symptoms are so mild, I get faint queasiness in the mornings, like hunger pangs, tired and fuller tender boobs. But nothing crazy. I feel particularly ‘pregnant’ where with my daughter I had so much nausea weeks 6-16! Currently 6+5! So feeling slightly paranoid.

@Bumpingalong84 this discharge has been going for a week tomorrow. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Got cramps again tonight which I've not had for a few days, so a bit concerned.
Got a few internet cheapie tests left so I'll poas again tomorrow 🙄

Dammit! Am I stupid to hope it's just this baby super attaching itself to me? Cramps are not so mild now 😑

Ohh @Wishful30 I’m so sorry. I think there’s always hope till you really know it’s over. I had a mmc in May at 12wks. I did have a big bleed at 6 weeks but it was fine at the 8 week scan, turned out it was a missed twin pregnancy so high risk but one twin did originally survive that bleed so you never know. My outcome wasn’t good then but you just never know!!

Cramps seem to be worse if I move around more, so I'm almost horizontal on the couch.
If I test positive tomorrow then I'm spending most of my day in bed!!!

Oh @Wishful30 I am so sorry you are having to deal with this.

It must be awful but try not to give up hope. Are you able to see the doctors on Monday? I think it is possible to have bleeding all through pregnancy for some women but I imagine the more information the better.

@GinUnicorn yes, I booked an appointment for Monday a couple of days ago, thinking if I'm lucky enough to get to 5 weeks I should probably get an appointment 🙄

Just a heads up that Midwives do strongly advises against using home devices for 'reassurance', or mobile apps that falsely claim to be able to monitor your baby's heartbeat

As with home dopplers, these apps and devices may sound tempting but they are not a safe way to listen to your baby’s heartbeat or check if they are well. That can only be done by a midwife or health professional who has received special training and knows what to listen and look for.

Unless you are professionally trained, it is easy to confuse what you are hearing or seeing and be falsely reassured.

There is also little regulation of these apps and devices, and the claims they make. There is often no way of knowing if the technology has been tested, how it's been tested, and whether any health professionals have been involved*

@Sunshine8888 no didn't get a written report 🤔 woman was rushing I think a little but I know everything is fine with baba, I've been so sick and nauseas lately I knew I was definitely pregnant 😅
