Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

@november90 Please try not to panic.
I lost all my symptoms for 4 days when i was 5+3 and previously i had felt so awful. I went for an early 6 week scan as scared it was going the same way as previous miscarriage.
Everything was fine. Symptoms have fluctuated since and i had a bad week of nausea again and then lost them and then went for my 8 week scan and again everything perfectly fine. This week i'm tired but boobs and nausea has dulled a lot. Spoke to my midwife who said you can have surges. I'm now 9+3 and hoping everything is on track!

I know it's hard not to panic but try to relax and enjoy feeling ok for a few days as they sometimes come back worse than before!

Rubeena · 27/09/2019 10:37

Congratulations to all the mums to be!
I found out we were expecting after trying for nearly 2 years....due end of May 2020!
Hope the scans go well for everyone!
xx

MarshmallowsOnToast · 27/09/2019 11:39

@Rubeena

Congratulations. That's great news. ☺️🎉

november90 · 27/09/2019 13:08

@ejmay90 thank you so much for the reply, it has really helped. You're so right, deep down I know this but it's just so nerve wracking! I have been a little more sickly today then the past few days so I'm just gonna try and stay as positive as I can as that's what both me and the baby need!

Raindancer411 · 27/09/2019 13:31

I got the guts up and the test kit turned up and did that last night when son was in bed. Positive and I am now feeling so unsure if I am doing the right thing. I suffer from anxiety too since having my first and have so many concerns. I got to self refer to a midwife now. Funny as when I was pregnant first time around the doc did it all and even did a test there to confirm. Things do change...

ejmay90 · 27/09/2019 14:34

@november90 No problem at all :)
I know exactly how you feel, as although i preach to be relaxed i'm not constantly like it lol!
That's a good sign though!
I was wishing when i had no symptoms that it would all come flooding back, wish i enjoyed the good days rather than moan about them lol! as it definitely came flooding back!

Doodlebug321 · 27/09/2019 14:35

For all those waiting for news, I really hope you get good news soon.

7+2 here & feeling squiffy most of the day. Just tried to eat olives (love them!) and can hardly swallow them. Loving a bit of spicy though.

Lots of twinges and strange feelings going on down there and almost like a strange pressure feeling down below.

Last night had the strangest sensation! Could feel my heartbeat pulsing down below. I guess it's to do with the increased blood flow down there. Such an odd feeling. Anyone else experienced this? Freaked me out for a bit!

Anyone know why my lower stomach would be hard (not the obviously bloated bit), but in my pelvic area. When I stand up I can feel it bulge out a little. But at 7+2 it can't be my uterus. Could it be uterus pressing on bladder underneath it?!

november90 · 27/09/2019 15:38

Guys does anyone know if you can use a thrush pessary at 6/7 weeks pregnant? I always suffer badly with thrush and I can feel it looming! I know the oral treatment is recommended to be avoided, but can you use a pessary this early?

Thanks :)

sao81 · 27/09/2019 15:59

@olivesandpecans ive been struggling with sleep and nausea too! Up at all hours all of the time

MarshmallowsOnToast · 27/09/2019 16:15

Been wearing Sea Bands to work today & actually have felt better. Not sure if it's a coincidence or placebo effect 🤔

Am feeling hungry at the moment without the normal horrible sicky feeling that goes with it.

zoemelb · 27/09/2019 16:22

@Mystie I wish I can be active and stop feeling sorry for myself. I do enjoy feel less nausea the last couple days and feel like eating again though (Nandos and rice was delicious). I bled after a bit of active (slow walk less than 1mile) the last 2 times, just felt cramps after cooking dinner and the next morning bled, so now I'm paranoid and don't even want to do any cooking. If this is indeed a miscarry, don't know if I want to go through another emotional and physical stress.

Mystie · 27/09/2019 16:28

@zoemelb I know exactly what you mean my OH just wants to literally wrap me up in cotton wool until 7 October but I get really bad anxiety in early pregnancy and exercise is so key for me being able to just get through the day! Been spotting all day but no pain and nothing getting heavier so I'm staying optimistic. Going out for a Turkish tonight which is always a treat, hope you have a nice Friday night / weekend planned x

Herewego2020 · 27/09/2019 16:55

Loads to catch up 🙊 I been so busy solving crimes on netflix 😂. Well I had my booking in on tuesday.. felt so strange as been many years since my 2nd child. I'm feeling just tired and full all the time. Anyone else got that full feeling. Full and bloated. Its driving me barmy, never had with my boys so this is a new feeling and I don't like it. I'm looking at food wanting it but feel too full to eat. No cravings but keep asking oh to get my mother in law to make me potato salad as hers is best I've ever had lol. Oh and I get up to pee around 5 times a night which is annoying.. I'm stumbling round cussing to myself in the dark lol. Got to book my first bloods for next coming weeks and wait for first scan appointment.

Congrats to all the new names I see 💫

Herewego2020 · 27/09/2019 16:58

That was not meant to mean other half lol.. meant O.H as in expression lol. He definitely isnt getting up lol

Clairesoph · 27/09/2019 17:45

Hi all! So pleased to be joining you, I took a positive test last Monday! Im a total night mare for tracking AF and my cycle is abnormally long so im unsure as to how pregnant I am haha! Gonna wait a couple of weeks before I book in with the midwife. An accidental second baby, my DS is 14 months old so im also joining the two under two club if anyone else is on that wild train haha! Congrats to you all xxx

GinUnicorn · 27/09/2019 19:18

Congratulations to all the newly pregnant people.

@november90 I seem to remember my midwife prescribing the thrush treatment I thought it was oral and cream when I was 35 weeks. I’d call nhs direct and check though. I’d forgotten the joys of constant thrush during pregnancy.

Wishful30 · 27/09/2019 19:48

Anyone had constant brown discharge? Sorry for tmi!
I'm 4+6 and it's been ongoing about 5 days now.
I did have cramping to begin with, but just a few mild on/off twinges the last few days.
Just poas and still a good positive.
Got a doc appt on Monday

Mystie · 27/09/2019 20:13

Does anyone know if you can still have a bath if you're spotting ? I know they advise against it when miscarrying but wondering what the advise is for miscellaneous bleeding?

november90 · 27/09/2019 20:28

@GinUnicorn hahah, yes the joys! I had thrush pretty much constantly first time around.... and I've never really got over it since 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'll check tomorrow just to be sure 😊

So today saw the return of the nausea! Blurgh!!! My Toddler finally asleep, I can't wait to get under my duvet with my DH and watch some RuPaul drag race.... I bet I don't stay awake for half an episode 🤦🏼‍♀️

Clairesoph · 27/09/2019 21:16

@november90 how old is your toddler?

Totally feeling ya on the nausea returning, also heartburn!?! I swear I only suffered when I was huge before but its like my bodys gone "Ooohhh I remember whay to do" and sickness, heartburn, peeing all the time and achey boobs sprung on me over night 😩

sazzlerazzle · 27/09/2019 22:02

Happy to find this thread! I haven’t read all the pages of course but congratulations to everyone expecting. I’m 8+5 and this is my first pregnancy. I’m also 35 years old so I’m riddled with anxieties about being a slightly older mum, although I know it’s not uncommon these days!

I had my booking appointment on Monday. How long does it usually take to get those results back?

tiredmoma · 28/09/2019 04:11

@flossy12 ohh thats brilliant i bet your excited for your scan!!

tiredmoma · 28/09/2019 04:23

@sazzlerazzle welcome and congrats!!! Everywhere is different some wait until your next app n some send you out letters the hospital i went to for my last baby the booking app and the scan was all one app n you got you results when you were back at the hospital however there was a few things i did get letters about that i suppose were maybe one i needed to know about sooner

flossy12 · 28/09/2019 07:26

@tiredmoma yes!! I can not wait!

november90 · 28/09/2019 08:29

@Clairesoph he's 2, 3 in January! He really is the sweetest little thing but he's still a shocking sleeper! I'm really hoping he'll grow out of it before this baby is born (is everything goes to plan!!) as I'm not sure how o will juggle it and I don't want him to feel push out when I've always been there for him during the night!
