Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

My second. I’m just tired at the moment. I expect morning sickness will hit in a week

Bumpingalong84 · 27/09/2019 06:28

Hi @mrsf1204 I just wanted to share that I am going through a similar thing. I had a very slight bleed last Sunday so I had a scan at the epu on Tuesday. Like you I measured around 6 weeks with a fetal pole but no heartbeat. Also measured 4mm, I was told it’s just potentially too early. I completely understand your anxiety. My due date is around the 18th May but I know I ovulated late. So I’m hoping all is ok. I hope it’s the same for you. So just here to hand hold. I have another scan on Tuesday.

olivesandpecans · 27/09/2019 06:33

Is anyone struggling with sleep? I’m totally exhausted but keep waking about 3am and can’t get back to sleep. My sickness then kicks in at about 430am (and lasts till
Mid afternoon) so I’m a bit of a mess at the minute? Anyone have any advice?

zoemelb · 27/09/2019 07:08

@mrsf1204 @Bumpingalong84 just want to say I went through similar thing to you. Spotted 1st time - red blood about a teespoon, went for a scan see the sac but no heartbeat, measured 4-5 weeks (I was 7 weeks from my last period). Doctor told me it's common to bleed in 1st trimester, and often has wrong date very often since the embryos is so small at this stage, to come back in 2 weeks for scan again. To my horrid, I bled again after a week with bit of clot (about a table spoon of blood). I called the doctor, they told to wait till the appointment on Tuesday for the scan, but if I do bleed more r cramps then call them again, thankfully no bleeding or cramps after that so I still have hope. I'm waiting to next week for the scan, but right now I'm very paranoid every time going to the toilet and counting down the date. My husband is still positive and he thinks I should not worry about it until after the scan. I'm trying to not think about it and avoid the Google (easier to say than done). Hoping all is ok for us.

mrsf1204 · 27/09/2019 07:15

@Bumpingalong84 @zoemelb oh bless you both. All in same boat and a horrible boat at that. Keep me posted both of you, I'm just a bag of nerves xx

Mystie · 27/09/2019 07:31

@zoemelb I am in exactly the same position as you! Had some brown discharge at what we thought was 7 weeks went to EPU on Monday, sac visible but nothing else and measuring at 5 weeks or just under. Told to come back in 2 weeks to confirm viability which is 7 October. Woke up this morning and pee is red and red blood when I wiped. No pain yet but I am fearing the worst. Really hope everything works out for you, I guess it's just a waiting game for both of us Sadx

GinUnicorn · 27/09/2019 07:35

Good luck to all of those going through this. Thinking of you all

danielasummer · 27/09/2019 07:48

So sorry to hear you’re all going through this. Thinking of you all xxxx

zoemelb · 27/09/2019 07:49

@Mystie @mrsf1204 it's a long waiting game!!! I'm still feeling sick (a lot less than last week) but don't even know if the baby is there, just need to wait and see. Sad

mrsf1204 · 27/09/2019 08:05

@zoemelb I've only had little waves of nausea the last two days, no proper sickness yet which I don't know whether to be worried about or not?! Never thought I'd want to get sick but I almost do to reassure me it's ok?! Weird. My boobs still hurt, and I've definitely got no real interest in food. Last night was dying for a dominos pizza - ordered one then when it came I didn't want it, had 3 slices at most!

I've also got a little dull stabbing pain moving around my tummy today but I'm not sure if that's just my anxiety? No blood here, nothing when I wipe. I've been signed off work for a week although I'm away next week anyway, and to be honest I'm not sure being sat at home doing nothing is the best thing..

Anyone have any advice on how to keep my mind healthy and happy for this next week?

Sunshine8888 · 27/09/2019 08:18

I’m really sorry to the ladies having to wait for answers, it’s so cruel. Keeping everything crossed for positive outcomes all round. I have my next scan tomorrow and I’m so so so nervous 😥

Hardheadedwoman39 · 27/09/2019 08:29

@mrsf1204 I'm sorry you're going through this (& others) it's awful. It happened to me in my last pregnancy, a slight bleed at 6 weeks and it was all completely fine. They said it was a collapsed follicle. I also had a slight bleed again at 8 weeks and that was nothing also.

You won't manage to not be anxious no matter how hard you try (!) but please do keep hope as it is very common to have a bleed at this point.

cornishTJ · 27/09/2019 08:37

Good luck to those waiting on scans. Thinking of you all.
My bad sickness and headache subsided after a couple days. I'm thinking maybe I just had a bad migraine which I suffer with anyway!!
Just waves of nausea that come and go now. Can't wait til 8th October which will be my first appointment. Don't think I get a scan until a couple weeks after that still so it's all just one big hope for the best isn't it! X

mrsf1204 · 27/09/2019 08:37

@Hardheadedwoman39 I've had no bleeding that's the thing! In the last week I've gone from showing an empty sac to now showing a yolk and a fetal pole just no heartbeat.

Hardheadedwoman39 · 27/09/2019 08:40

@mrsf1204 sorry, I get a bit confused with all the different messages! That shows development doesn't it which is good. With all three of my children they're dated me differently to my calculations so it may be that you weren't as far along as you thought.
Everything is crossed for you xx

Shelbustotherescue · 27/09/2019 08:48

Morning ladies, I'm sorry to hear about all of those who are going through it at the moment, I have everything crossed for you.

My stomach has been killing me since last night, think it's growing pains, feels like I've over stretched if that makes sense but it's all the way across my lower stomach.

I'm 8+2 today, on my countdown for my next scan on Thursday have everything crossed that it's progressed from my last one.

Bought a couple of bits last night from matalan - couldn't help myself !

Namechangeymcnamechange11 · 27/09/2019 08:51

Another one with bleeding here Sad 7+2 so keeping everything crossed. DH is trying to get me an appointment Sad

cornishTJ · 27/09/2019 08:53

May I ask how everyone (obvs not those with implications) on here seems to be having early scans?
I'm 7 + 4 days. Appointment on 8th oct and that isn't even a scan yet. Even though I miscarried in May I wasn't offered an early scan.
Are you going private for this service?

facevalue · 27/09/2019 08:59

@cornishTJ i think it's a variable mixture. mostly private but some because they had ivf, some are asking for it because they have a bleed or they had previous miscarriage..

if you feel ok then no need for a scan until 12 weeks basically by then most miscarriages have happened already so it's more practical/ cost effective for the NHS.

mrsf1204 · 27/09/2019 09:10

@cornishTJ mine was purely because I had minor pain a couple of weeks back and sadly once they've seen you once they insist on you keep coming back. I understand why, but I honestly think it's worse for my mental health having them. I wish I had never gone in. I should have trusted my instincts and known it would be ok. That way I would have lived in blissful ignorance for 12 weeks and then if something had sadly gone wrong at least it wouldn't have played on my mind so much for 3 months. My advice, unless critical, prev health issues etc don't go for an early scan. Avoid it if you can. It's better for your mental health I think.

ejmay90 · 27/09/2019 09:17

@cornishTJ I have had 2 private early scans where i paid £79 for because i had a previous miscarriage.

I think it's the best thing i've done as it's really put my mind at ease instead of waiting the dreaded 12 weeks.

I had an early one at 6 weeks as i panicked my symptoms had gone and they saw a heartbeat. Went back at 8 and have one booked for 10 weeks just to keep my anxiety down.

It has helped me but it is not for everyone. I wouldn't be going for scans if it wasn't for the previous miscarriage and worrying this would go the same way.

Currently tracking at 9+3 from previous scan and feeling more positive from these scans.

Hope this helps x

Mystie · 27/09/2019 09:28

@zoemelb I've just been to the gym and down some light cardio, figure it's in the lap of the gods and I need to carry on with my normal routine. Going to go into town and treat myself to a new face cream and get stuck into Demi Moore's new memoir (although I think she lost a baby at 6 months so it may not be the right choice!)

Hope you have a good day Smile

november90 · 27/09/2019 09:33

So last weekend I felt so sickly, it was pretty intense! But since Monday I've felt totally normal! Nausea has gone and other then feeling very tired and tender boobs I just feel absolutely fine. I can't help but worry as everywhere I read everyone is so sick and I'm not! I'm almost 7 weeks and have a private scan on Tuesday. I was looking forward to it... but now I'm dreading it :(

Mystie · 27/09/2019 09:39

@november90 thanks for your kind message on the other thread. I really wouldn't worry too much about symptoms at this stage I've never experienced any sort of morning sickness and symptoms vary so much between women. I would suggest if you are worried asking for a blood test to check your hcg levels are still high although they'd probably want to do 2 tests 48 hours apart by which time you'll be at your scan date which will tell you what you want to know anyway. Try and stay positive, treat yourself to something nice and look after yourself, fingers crossed for both of us x

november90 · 27/09/2019 09:59

@Mystie aww thank you very much! I had a blood test done in Sunday as I was in hospital due to pains in my shoulders. They said they would get back in touch if there was an issue and I never heard anything which is reassuring but then my anxiety tells me that was nearly a week ago..... 😬

I should enjoy this well period I know... but I'm such a nervous person part of me would rather be ill and I don't mean that I'm an insensitive way to anyone who is suffering! I know it is really tough ❤️
