Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

@Shak19 time has flown hasn't it, I think it's a good mindset to be in though as I have 2 other children and I know that suddenly a baby will be here and this pregnancy will be but a dream.

Easier said then done though to treasure and appreciate each day when you feel like you have some kind of food poisoning.

But we must try! The baby phase goes so fast too so I'm really trying to live in the moment and not look forward constantly.

But reckon this will be my last pregnancy so each day is special for me as it will be the last time I'm x days/weeks pregnant.

And I certainly felt 'special' this last week, but in a very different was to what it normally means 🥵🤢

Moongirl10 · 26/09/2019 10:24

@flossy12 oooh 7 weeks for me today too according to due date calendar and I have a scan on Saturday as well! I feel like they’ll tell me it’s more like 4-5 weeks.

PrincessLils · 26/09/2019 10:27

Hi Everyone,
Firstly Congratulations to everyone :-) I'm 6+0 if I count from first day of last period but by my calculations I'm really on 5+0 I've got an appointment tomorrow with my GP to confirm my pregnancy even though I've done three myself that were all positive :-). It's my first and by my calculations I'm due around the 28th May. Only my husband knows and I'm hoping to keep it quiet until we get our first scan. I knew pretty much straight away as I use an app called natural cycles so my temp stayed raised and I've had a lot of breast tenderness which I've never had before. I'm incredibly excited and nervous and keep thinking I'm imagining it so it's great to be able to talk about it to people in the same situation :-) I've been very lucky and apart from some light cramping, bloating and slight nausea in the evening I'm feeling good. I'm hoping it continues this way :-)

flossy12 · 26/09/2019 13:07

@Moongirl10 my friend went to her 12 week scan and found out she was only 10 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'd be mortified 😂 think I'll be a few days back from what I think though maybe 6+6 or something not sure

facevalue · 26/09/2019 13:21

small glory .. i ate a LFC sandwich and a piece of chicken! it tasted ok and no nausea 😍😍😍 ahhhhhh small blessings

Sunshine8888 · 26/09/2019 13:21

@flossy12 I reckon that could happen to me!! My scan is exactly 12 weeks from LMP so I’m likely to be measuring behind! I think they just call you back though - I wouldn’t mind an additional peek at baby!

kstann · 26/09/2019 14:28

Anyone else's pregnancy supplements making them feel super sick 🤢

Shelbustotherescue · 26/09/2019 15:01

@kstann yes mine were ! That's why I stopped taking them and now just take folic acid and vitamin d - apparently it's really common !

MarshmallowsOnToast · 26/09/2019 15:02

@kstann @Shelbustotherescue

Which brand is it that make/made you feel sick?

Shelbustotherescue · 26/09/2019 15:05

@kstann pregnacare and boots own version

kstann · 26/09/2019 15:12

@MarshmallowsOnToast @Shelbustotherescue I'm taking a Brand called BioCare!

I might look at getting a separate Folate & Vitamin D and see if that helps then xx

flossy12 · 26/09/2019 15:54

@Sunshine8888 yes! Worth a shot 😆 got a call from the midwife today, they'd messed up my dates I had my booking appointment booked in for today 7weeks according to LMP but the midwife who had me on her list doesn't cover my area 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ so now rebooked for Monday

woollycat · 26/09/2019 16:08

It's really exciting reading about all the positive early scans!

I am 6w now and getting period like cramping on my right side on and off almost every day. No bleeding or spotting though.

My first pregnancy so I have nothing to compare it to - please give me some hope ladies! I have taken a sick day today as also fealing nausea and just not able to face work right now.

Lifesforlivingandloving · 26/09/2019 16:12

@woollycat
At 6 weeks I had cramps on the right hand side and my groin was a little swollen on that side
I had a small amount of spotting too
Had an early scan and saw the little heartbeat and tiny bubba . They pushed my dates back a week but said all was fine
The midwife who scanned me said at 6 weeks is when the placenta attaches so it's quite common to feel a few twinges etc
Now I'm 8 weeks and anxiously waiting 12 week scan!
Hope this info has helped a little x

MarshmallowsOnToast · 26/09/2019 16:17

@woollycat

I had cramps on the right hand side from 4-6 weeks. I know lots of others on this thread had the same thing too.

I think it's just things stretching & changing so I wouldn't worry too much.

Raindancer411 · 26/09/2019 16:18

Hi all, can I join although I haven't actually tested yet. I got my head in the sand about the whole thing but am more sure than not I am pregnant. I would estimate about 5 weeks... I feeling sick, cramps, tender and firmer breasts and am over 11 days late... tests arrived in post today so getting the guts up for once the son has gone to bed and hubby home...

mrsf1204 · 26/09/2019 16:24

Another update for those still following this thread...

I had another scan this morning. The good news is my empty sack is now filled with a yolk and fetal pole measuring 4mm. Bad news is no heartbeat could be found. They are dating me at 6+1, 4 weeks from conception. So it could be that's it's too early, or it could be that it won't develop, 50/50 chance at the moment and I won't know until we have another scan in a week.

I feel absolutely drained. I thought it would all be ok this morning but I've fallen apart. I feel like something is just going so wrong. My husband is still positive though and saying it's still just too early.

The saddest part of all this is I had to tell my mum today as she had to come get me from the hospital, this was the first she had heard our news. I was so hoping to announce it to her and my dad on holiday next week providing everything looked well today. So I had to tell her through tears which was horrendous. She's been amazing though and keeps staying positive. Anyone else had this and have any positive stories? I'm only looking for positive stories at the moment just to get me through the next week on our holiday, then if the worst happens I will deal with it on the day.

Grateful to anyone who can shed some hope. Xx

Sunshine8888 · 26/09/2019 16:41

@mrsf1204 thank you for sharing this and I’m sorry you didn’t get the good news you deserve today. It must be so horrible not having answers right now and I wish I could promise you everything will be ok. What I can say is that when I measured at 4.1mm I was dated at 5+5 - not over 6 weeks. It is very common for the heartbeat not to be seen that early so I am hopeful that when you go back things could be looking more positive 💕 I’m glad you’ve told your mum, you need the support whether it’s good or bad news. I will be thinking of you and hoping for some good development over the next week 💕

facevalue · 26/09/2019 16:58

@mrsf1204 oh no.. that's so stressful. so another week waiting. i'm so sorry to hear this. glad your mum was there to support you. keep us posted as it can't be easy x

mrsf1204 · 26/09/2019 17:13

Thank you @facevalue @Sunshine8888

I'll try, I've just been lead in bed sobbing all day. I just don't know how to feel.

GinUnicorn · 26/09/2019 18:47

@mrsf1204 I am so sorry you are having such a stressful time. Thinking about you and hoping for good news Flowers

GinUnicorn · 26/09/2019 18:48

@PrincessLils we are due two days apart :)

@ChampooPapi that’s so true about living in the present. Especially during the sleep starved early days. Last time feels a bit of a blur I will try and appreciate more this time

Wishful30 · 26/09/2019 19:14

Hi there 👋🏻
I'm not due till 30th May.. so still very early and scary!
Had a mc in November last year so very tentatively excited.

Been cramping on and off and having brown discharge for 5 days now.
Testing daily like a twit and all strong positives.... any advice??

Congratulations everyone 🤗

Due May 2020 - could do with a buddy!
ChampooPapi · 26/09/2019 19:21

@mrsf1204 really sorry your going through this, I can contest that I've heard a good few positive outcomes in your situation. You'll be in my thoughts the next week 🙏

LillyGordon · 26/09/2019 21:54

@GinUnicorn that so exciting. Is this your first? I'm so afraid to say it out loud to anyone even though I'm bursting to say it. How have you been feeling ? I've literally just joined so still trying to figure out how to follow threads and read all the replies so apologies if you have already posted about symptoms etc Blush
