Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

@MarshmallowsOnToast
I'm literally the same
I wrack my brains for what I fancy to eat but literally Nithing appeals . So I leave it . Then I feel more sick . Then end up eating something for the sake of it. Then not enjoy it at all but feel slightly better

😂 x

This thread moves fast!

So many May babies, spring is the best time to have a newborn so we are winning ladies Glitterball

ChampooPapi · 25/09/2019 16:09

@SMC32 really really feel for you, that sounds so grim. Definitely call your point of contact, Dr/midwife, being that bad is just horrendous and you need help now.

@Lifesforlivingandloving & @MarshmallowsOnToast ditto on all things

ChampooPapi · 25/09/2019 16:10

I just ate three babybells in a similar fashion and now I am feeling I may regret. Foods just seem to repeat on oneself so much, however bland

flossy12 · 25/09/2019 17:21

@MarshmallowsOnToast @Lifesforlivingandloving @ChampooPapi girls I'm in exactly the same boat, constantly nauseas but it feels like a hungry sickness so I eat then I'm gipping for a good 10 minutes after

Had tomato soup at work last night and it didn't affect me at all so going to be grabbing for that again tonight! ☺️ and managed some jam on toast today

ejmay90 · 25/09/2019 17:45

Anyone else feel so aggy and irritable?
Just wanting to snap at everyone! Dam hormones lol!

GinUnicorn · 25/09/2019 18:39

Hi all the new people!

I have my first midwife appointment in two weeks. I’m trying not to get too excited until it’s a bit further on but it’s feeling real now.

Shelbustotherescue · 25/09/2019 19:17

Evening Ladies,

Talk to me about maternity clothes ? It's been 11 years since I've needed to buy any !

Where's the best place ? I'm planning on living in leggings and long tops !

Mystie · 25/09/2019 19:27

Hey!
I'd love to join this group, I'm 5w 3d with DC number 4 after a 12 year break! 🤦🏻‍♀️
Already extra nervous as I'm 43 so no the chances of miscarriage are high but I'm trying to stay positive. We had a scan at EPU on Monday as I had cramping and brown discharge and no yolk sac was visible but doc said that gestational sac was measuring and 5 weeks and looked good and told us to come back in 2 weeks to confirm viability. It's going to be a very long few weeks but really trying to stay positive! I'm sure being a part of this group will be a big help! Xx

ChampooPapi · 25/09/2019 19:57

@Shak19 hope all ok your end of things.

@flossy12 just stick to what you know makes you feel ok, it's such a short time so even if you just eat tomato soup for the next 6 months every day it's all good

@Shelbustotherescue I honestly have up last time on maternity clothes and just brought size 18 leggings, so I may be the right girl for your interest.

I found topshop maternity leggings however expensive really good, just got one pair that I rotated with my size 16/18 ones from asos. I'm normally a 12 on a good day if that helps size wise.

Did get one great pair of over bump jeans but had to try on about 10 different ones so don't order them online

Mystie · 25/09/2019 20:22

@Shelbustotherescue I've ordered some maternity leggings from loveleggings.com great fit, colour selection and quality and only £14.99 a pair Smile

sao81 · 25/09/2019 20:33

@Bumpingalong84 when I went to book private for reassurance scan they said wait til at least 7 weeks as heartbeat may not always be seen earlier and it causes unnecessary panic,so i wouldn't read too much into it and wait until next week xx

Shak19 · 25/09/2019 20:42

Hi all. Meeting with the midwife tomorrow. I'll be 8 weeks on friday. The times flown. Everything started to feel real. I'm so excited

How is everyone?

I forgot to check here often cause I sleep 90% of my time outside of work lol

@SMC32 Hey, Congratulations to you!🥰

I am so sorry to hear the heart ache you went through with your first baby and hope you get your little rainbow 🌈

I know the feeling with how nauseous & sick you've been. I am now 8+1, and from 6-8 I was so nauseous 24/7 and sick everyday. Some days all day! & Barely ate, if I did it was beige and even the thought of water made me gag. The past few days it's seemed to have settled and I'm eating much better, however past 3 nights I've felt super sick after dinner!
I've felt so useless 🤦🏼‍♀️
Luckily I'm off work at the moment xx

tiredmoma · 25/09/2019 20:52

@Shelbustotherescue in my last pregnancy i found asda online to be good for a few things their leggings and jeans were fab!

Bumpingalong84 · 25/09/2019 21:53

Thanks @sao81 a few close friends have told me this too. So need to have everything crossed that all will be well next week and this brown spotting will stop now. I think also I had so many symptoms last pregnancy it feels weird to not have as many at the same stage. But that didn’t go well so not a good comparison.

strawberry2017 · 25/09/2019 22:31

6 weeks + 5, second baby and so much more anxious this time.
Feeling rough and feeling like time is dragging just want to know all is ok! Thanks

Moongirl10 · 25/09/2019 22:32

Hi ladies, feel so behind with this thread! Is everyone counting how far along they are by calculating how long it was since first day of your last period? I haven’t had my dating scan yet so that’s what I’ve been doing but no idea really!

facevalue · 25/09/2019 23:37

i've had a rough day with nausea and now more heartburn. im tired but struggling to get comfortable ... if i wasn't pregnant i'd think it's the menopause- anyone getting the too hot too cold ? never perfect temp it's horrible

tiredmoma · 26/09/2019 04:36

@Moongirl10 yea thats what ive done, by my LMP im 6+1 but i dont think im as far on as that

flossy12 · 26/09/2019 06:48

@facevalue the nausea is horrible lately! Just get these really bad waves of sickness over me it's awful especially at work

GinUnicorn · 26/09/2019 07:34

Moongirl that’s what I’ve done. No scan for a while yet. I wish I had one booked so I could relax.

tiredmoma · 26/09/2019 07:50

@flossy12 i regnoize your name from the TTC congrats!!! How many weeks are you?

flossy12 · 26/09/2019 08:21

@tiredmoma oh hey! 😁😁 I'm 7 weeks today according to the 'due date' calculators ☺️👏🏼 got an early scan on Saturday so hopefully they will be able to give me a more precise due date

flossy12 · 26/09/2019 08:26

@ChampooPapi I seem to be able to keep my food down for now, just a lot of things making me gag 🙃 just got to remember it normally calms down around 2nd trimester and I'm only 5 weeks off that 😅 by the time I've been on holiday I'll be 9 weeks so will only have 3 to get through 🤞🏻
