Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

@Allyism I'd estimate one more week of the hell and then you'll be on a much more even keel upwards to the good times (by that I mean the not feeling sick times). How's your head? I found when it was at it's worse It meant in a few days it would be a lot better so I would say by the weekend you'll be on the mend.

It's truly awful isn't it, then when it goes it's like a dream that never really happened, all hormones Confused

facevalue · 24/09/2019 00:17

and now the heartburn begins🙄🙄🤮 do i really need yet another reason to have disturbed sleep!

Allyism · 24/09/2019 08:28

@ChampooPapi I really hope you’re right! I’ve had a few headaches, mostly at night.

Doodlebug321 · 24/09/2019 09:39

Apart from sore boobs (they feel like they're bruised!) & a little queasyness I'm feeling fine today. Trying not to freak out, but it's so difficult. Even managed a cup of coffee this morning. Never got this far without bleeding before. Could go for early scan, but there's risks with TV scans and I don't want to take that risk & really, it wouldn't change anything.
Hoping everything is ok in there!!

Hi everyone,

Unexpectedly pregnant with no. 3 (DD1 aged 7,1st natural and DD2 aged 3 2nd IVF). Hubby had testicular cancer shortly after first was born (hence IVF for second). Was told at his check up last year (nov) that fertility may return. Thought it was pretty unlikely as DD2 2.5 at that stage. Anyhoo, sunday realise period bit late (feeling tired, tender boobs) take pregnancy test (not thinking anything would come up) and it was positive! Not sure of last LMP but think i'm roughly 5+4 at the moment.

Had some brown/red spotting last night/this morning and mild cramps (cramps last night-none this morning) which worrying me slightly. But had bleeding at 9 weeks and 11 weeks with DD2 which is common in ivf but didn't have any bleeding with DD1)

Only done referral for midwife today, as having these 2 in different area from last so you refer yourself online as opposed to seeing GP

ChampooPapi · 24/09/2019 10:52

@Jods1982 congratulations! Do you know when your due roughly? I have 2 daughters as well so getting excited about whether we will end up a 4 women household or end up with a boy in our midst Smile

Either way suits me, how do you feel about number 3?

Littlepies · 24/09/2019 11:01

Hi everyone, 6+3 here and nausea is taking over!! Just don’t know how I’m going to cope with the next few weeks and looking after a toddler at the same time. Had hyperemises last time and spent the dreaded 7th week in hospital so trying to mentally prepare myself for that again. Sad

facevalue · 24/09/2019 11:05

@Doodlebug321 awww i hope you can relax soon. ultrasound scans have absolutely no risk what so ever to a pregnancy. i'm having one next week. you should definitely speak with your dr or midwife if u want to check what i'm saying

danielasummer · 24/09/2019 11:16

@ChampooPapi ahh I do feel bad now for saying that as reading back through the thread, I realise most people are suffering! I'm coming from the place of, I've wanted this baby for years so I want some kind of confirmation (besides the BFP) before the scan.

Honestly the anxiety is a nightmare but I'm sure it'll get easier after the scan. 4 weeks today! :)

When are you due?

@cornishTJ I've heard that every pregnancy is different so hopefully all is ok in there..22nd Oct can't come quick enough.

@Sunshine8888 we sound like we're in the same boat! How are you feeling today? Any different?

flossy12 · 24/09/2019 11:25

@Littlepies I'm so sorry to hear that! Ive had some nausea and I'm 6+5 but not vomited yet 🤞🏻 is the 7th week normally worst? I've never been pregnant before so totally clueless

Sunshine8888 · 24/09/2019 13:05

@danielasummer I’m fine! I get very tired but I only start feeling a bit sicky if I let myself get hungry so I just constantly snack!! Into anything carby and unhealthy unfortunately! Feeling a bit crampy today and my back is aching. Also got a bit of a bump now - I hope that’s a good sign. I had a bit of a breakdown last night and was just inconsolable. The anxiety is getting the better of me and poor DH doesn’t know what to do. 4 more sleeps until my scan. X

Jods1982 · 24/09/2019 16:01

@ChampooPapi.. not sure when my first day of my last period was, know it was in august and may have been around 16th August? Due date calculator with this date is 5+4 but I could be later or earlier. Pregnancy test started turning positive almost immediatley when i tested.

Feeling a bit nervous about pregnancy today as having light bleeding/spotting today. No cramping or pain as such and I've got a scan at the early pregnancy unit tomorrow. They have said they may not be able to see much, but at least will have an idea how far things are along. I was starting to feel excited yesterday but now worrying and preparing for worst :-(

danielasummer · 24/09/2019 16:16

@Sunshine8888 today I've felt like that - started to feel a bit gross if I let myself get hungry too. Hope you're feeling a bit better today - the anxiety is horrible and I totally feel your pain. My husband has been so good but I'm worried I'm ruining this pregnancy for him. I also had a very slight bleed at the weekend and called 111, the out of hours dr said to keep a note of it and let my midwife know at my first appointment (haven't even been given an app. yet), a few days has passed but now I'm worrying about the bleed again! Was only a few little pinpricks though. I just can't seem to relax and keep thinking the worst.

How far along are you (sorry if you've already said, I've read so many threads over the last few days I'm finding it hard to keep up!) x

Sunshine8888 · 24/09/2019 16:44

@danielasummer, well from LMP I am 9+5 but realistically think I am a week behind due to long cycles. I have had bleeding throughout since 5 weeks. It’s just a bit and it’s rusty coloured. I’ve had it today along with cramps. It frightens the life out of me but just trying to hang on until scan on Saturday. The midwife didn’t do anything when I mentioned it other than make a note on my chart 🤷🏽‍♀️

danielasummer · 24/09/2019 16:57

@Sunshine8888 Ahh me too, so I ovulated on day 33 of my cycle (19 days after the typical ovulation date).

Sorry to hear you had bleeding - I'm really keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the best for you for Saturday. I hope the midwife reassured you at least. Can I ask why they have put you in for an early scan? I've also been booked in for 10+1 but on the letter it says it should be between 11 and 14. x

Sunshine8888 · 24/09/2019 17:27

@danielasummer this is a private one. My 12 week nhs scan is on 10th Oct (more likely to be between 10-11 weeks)

Midwife just said it’s good it’s not red and heavy but that they like to check all bleeding so pop along to the epu when it happens. Well I wouldn’t have a job if I did! I’d be there 2-3 times a week hanging round for 4 hours each morning, I just can’t do it with work hence why I’ve booked a private scan

danielasummer · 24/09/2019 17:35

@Sunshine8888 I see - please keep us updated, I'm sure all will be well. It's good that your midwife doesn't seem too concerned though x

Rainforestandshine · 24/09/2019 18:05

Had an early scan today at 5+1 as the cramping was still worrying me. From the scan I discovered I have fibroids. This is what the nurse thinks could be causing the cramping. As it was an early scan the embryo was not detected, but the gestational sac and the yolk sac were visible. I need to return for another scan in two weeks. I was told this is all rather normal at this stage. I have read that embryos are usually visible from 6 weeks. Not feeling as anxious as I have been of late – just hoping that I won’t need another internal scan. It wasn’t painful but it was uncomfortable.
Apart from the cramping I don’t have any other symptoms that are causing a problem – except skin irritation at times. This doesn’t surprise me that much as I have sensitive skin.

Shelbustotherescue · 24/09/2019 18:08

Got my 12 week scan booked ... 22nd October !

I've got my 8 week scan next week although I'll be nearly 9 weeks by then - hopefully !

I sneezed today and I've never felt pain like it, all across my lower stomach, the pain went almost instantly but my god it took my breath away.

Boob still hurt, nausea comes and goes but no where near as bad as the beginning of last week.

Feeling a lot more positive - anyone else wanting to start buying stuff ?

Also, told my daughter yesterday, she's 13, she bloody worked it out so I had no choice but to tell her - she's over the moon ! Not telling my little boy for a few more weeks though- he's 10, not sure he can be trusted not to tell anyone !

Moonstone12 · 24/09/2019 18:18

@Shelbustotherescue my 12 week scan is the same day as yours :) eeeeek!!! Exciting xx

danielasummer · 24/09/2019 18:22

@Rainforestandshine I'm glad you're feeling a little better. I think it's normal to not be able to detect baby til a little later on in pregnancy (from what I have read) so I would not worry. Exciting that you saw a yolk and sac! I hope you start to feel better with the cramping.

@Shelbustotherescue we have the same scan date! Although I'll be 10+1 on 22nd October :) did you book a private one for the 8/9 week scan? I also sneezed about half an hour ago and my lower abdomen hurt like hell haha! I'm not thinking of buying anything yet until I have a scan picture firmly in my hands (anxious pregnant lady over here!) but I am really excited to start doing so. Are you finding out the gender?

Shelbustotherescue · 24/09/2019 18:23

Oooo lots of us on the same day !

I've already had two scans, I've got a third next week, one after that and then my 12 week.

Smile
flossy12 · 24/09/2019 18:36

@Shelbustotherescue I have to admit I bought a little hat and gloves set for a newborn from primark the other day was only £2.80 I couldn't help myself 😆😩 OH just laughed 😅

I have pains too sometimes, and varying nausea normally I think if I haven't eaten enough it starts, and I have to hot heavy boobs 😅 OH says after 12 weeks we can start stock piling nappies and wipes etc 😅😅

danielasummer · 24/09/2019 18:38

@Shelbustotherescue ahh amazing!! Are these private scans? I'm debating having one as I just don't think I can wait until 22nd Oct.. but afraid I'll be bankrupt as I'm sure I'll be there every other day to see little babe!

GinUnicorn · 24/09/2019 20:58

@Shelbustotherescue @Moonstone12 I am so jealous of you guys having scans booked. I’m still waiting for my referral. I think the 12 week scan for me is the point where I get excited.
