Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

@cornishTJ very VERY normal Smile

Three pregnancies so far and every time week 7 until 8 is the worst, still sickness and tiredness, heachaches persist untill 2nd trimester, but nothing like week 7.

Hopefully that'll be the same for you and by next week you'll feel a bit better, it really helps to stuff a rice cake down as soon as you wake up, I did this morning and it helped a lot. I could barely swallow it because it was so dry but dam did I feel like I could get up & get on afterwards.

Worth it Grin

ChampooPapi · 23/09/2019 14:48

And appologise in advance to everyone else reading that who are still in week 6 & are now horrified by the prospect of week 7 Blush

GinUnicorn · 23/09/2019 15:10

@ChampooPapi and we can’t even consume ourselves with wine!

Shelbustotherescue · 23/09/2019 15:12

I can also confirm week 7 was/is hell ! I'm nearly out the other side mind you - I'm in week 8 and the sickness (touch wood) is better - although I've changed the tablets I was on and that seems to have helped too

The constipation has also eased too thank god !!!

Sunshine8888 · 23/09/2019 15:15

I’m either really lucky or something is wrong because I’m honestly not finding the weeks that bad, the worst thing is how slowly they go! I am somewhere between 8 and 9+3! Hope scan on Saturday shows that all is well 🤞🏻 I am worrying because everyone else seems to be suffering so much 😬

cornishTJ · 23/09/2019 15:29

@ChampooPapi thanks for the tip. I'll try that tomorrow!

For those opposite not having any symptoms don't worry. I asked my friend for help as she's had two kids and she only had tiredness with both of them. Some people are just lucky I guess!

ChampooPapi · 23/09/2019 15:33

@GinUnicorn oh sweet wine, there was a time I loved thee.

There's certainly nothing like pregnancy to put to bed any feelings for wine times. I walked past the alcohol aisle earlier which I usually find looks like a wonderland of glistening jewels only to dry heave when my eyes skimmed over the spirits at the end.

Talk to me in month 8 though, I'm sure I'll be drinking the odd glass by then, by that point I'm usually fairly fed up of the pregnancy process & have turned full sofa slut

flossy12 · 23/09/2019 15:42

@CharlieB93 just leave her to it, if she comes round she will start to ask you how you and etc and be actively more involved don't force her oh shouldn't have to do that!

I feel for you a lot though it must be so awful, I'm quite close to my MIL and me and my mam have an amazing relationship so can't wait to tell them, but atleast you have us ladies for support and to rant at if needed! 😁😁

GinUnicorn · 23/09/2019 15:46

Oh God I’m only week 5. I’d conveniently erased the joy of pregnancy from my brain.

MarshmallowsOnToast · 23/09/2019 15:57

I had to get dressed in stages this morning as kept feeling hot, tingly & 🤢.

Brushed my teeth then needed to lie down for a few minutes,

Put my underwear on, needed to lie down again. Etc etc

danielasummer · 23/09/2019 16:38

Hi everyone,

So thankful to have this group! Feeling a little lost/alone in this pregnancy as I'm soo anxious (first pregnancy). I'm 6weeks today and I have my screening/dating scan at 10+1 weeks on 22nd October. Haven't heard from my midwife yet (she's on holiday until 30th Sept) but so nervous for the first scan. I'm 27, relatively fit and healthy, first pregnancy which is a really happy surprise, just SUPER anxious that everything goes well.. almost daily I'm stressing about the scan, getting myself into a panic and almost bursting into tears imagining the worst.

Am I being crazy?! Does anyone else have this worry? xx

Sunshine8888 · 23/09/2019 17:05

@danielasummer congrats and yes all the time! I saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks which reassured me for all of two days and since then I can’t stop worrying something has gone wrong as I don’t feel any worse than I did then (3 weeks ago). I don’t know how people relax and enjoy this - I feel permanently anxious!!

Allyism · 23/09/2019 17:35

I’m 6+6 and have pretty much been horizontal for the last 3 days, couldn’t make it in to work today. So exhausted and constant nausea and wrenching - how long till this part passes? Want to start enjoying pregnancy 😭

danielasummer · 23/09/2019 17:46

@Sunshine8888 thank you so much, congratulations to you too! :)

Aww I can imagine, that's why I'm not opting for an early private scan. Knowing me, I'd be there every other day because I'd get addicted, and I'd panic if I hadn't had one in a few days! Really glad that you saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks, that's amazing.

I have been permanently anxious too! I'm glad I'm not alone in that but sorry you feel that way too.

Do you have many symptoms? So far I just have breast aches and ridiculously tired.. I'm desperate for some morning sickness (call me crazy!!) just so that I can 'feel more pregnant' if that makes sense x

cornishTJ · 23/09/2019 17:46

@Allyism I know, I'm really trying to enjoy it also but too busy feeling sick and worrying about miscarrying again. Can't seem to get that out of my mind yet. 😕 feel guilty for being off work today but not much I can do about it really.
Anyone else having trouble keeping those massive pregnancy vitamins down!?? 🤢

Sunshine8888 · 23/09/2019 18:01

@danielasummer nope very mild symptoms and zero sickness which is why I’m feeling worried!

Bumpingalong84 · 23/09/2019 18:02

Thanks @Doodlebug321 I’m ok, just a teeny bit of brown discharge today but otherwise nothing! Spoke to the Gp and she’s made me an appointment for tomorrow afternoon at the EPU. 🤞🏻 Fingers crossed all is well, but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

cornishTJ · 23/09/2019 18:06

@danielasummer try not to worry. Like I said earlier, my friend had two boys and barely had any symptoms at all with either. Just a bit of tiredness and that itself was a mild case. Everyone is different. X

GinUnicorn · 23/09/2019 18:07

@cornishTJ I think that’s normal. My first pregnancy I pretty much worried throughout. You don’t worry any less once they are here btw. Flowers

cornishTJ · 23/09/2019 18:07

Sorry meant that for @Sunshine8888

lornz · 23/09/2019 18:38

Ladies. Anyone else having awful sickness?

I've had nausea and mild sickness since finding out we were pregnant with number 2 - 3 weeks ago.

Since today it's gone up a notch (I'm around 6+1)- I've been sick 6+ times and held it back more as I'm a teacher to running out of class mid lesson isn't idea 🤢

I definitely wasn't this poorly first time round.

kstann · 23/09/2019 19:22

Hi Ladies, hope you're all well. So many threads it's hard to get back to everyone ☺️

Sorry to read a few of you are going through uncertain times and hope you get the answers you want soon.

I am 7+6 and the Nausea & Sickness the past 2 weeks has been horrendous! Why is it called MORNING Sickness. It's a LIE!
Struggling to eat & drink anything and if I do it's beigeeeee!

I been feeling so much better since our scan at 6+6. Just waiting for the date for our 12 week scan!x

GinUnicorn · 23/09/2019 19:34

I remember last time the sickness hit me the worst in evening. Ginger and lemon helped and sipping ice.

Sunshine8888 · 23/09/2019 19:40

Thanks @cornishTJ - I know everyone is different but the majority of people do seem to be suffering badly and it’s a bit strange to be the odd one out. If everything is ok at my scan I will be so grateful but it’s hard not knowing!

ChampooPapi · 23/09/2019 20:16

*desparate for some morning sickness"

@danielasummer I'm going to be the one to call you crazy, girl it's horrendous.

Honestly we who are horizontal with constant neusea are pretty close to praying we weren't pregnant right now 😆

But your anxiety doesn't sound fun either, it really does get better in the second trimester, one just seems to become very busy & tired and worry less as a result, plus you feel movement too
