Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

Just had a load more prunes. Come on prunes, do your thing!

With that boobs, belly and barfing it's difficult to keep it a secret. But I'm only 6+4 and with our history, I don't want people to know! Far too early. Those who have done this before...how do you keep the secret?!

CharlieB93 · 22/09/2019 16:59

So... I told my parents, dad seemed ok about it. Mum hasn’t spoken to me since Tuesday :( all she said was ‘we must be mad’ ‘should have got married first’ ‘well you’ll never have any money again’. She also pushed to know who would look after child when I go back to work (eg she’s not doing it). I thought she’d at least pretend. feeling very alone :(

flossy12 · 22/09/2019 18:01

@CharlieB93 I'm so sorry to hear she's being like that 😢😔 give her a few days to get her head around it, any idea why she would react this way? Surely your a grown woman and can make your own decisions

facevalue · 22/09/2019 18:08

@CharlieB93 oh you poor thing. i can only assume your mum has some struggles maybe she hasn't shared with you yet? do you feel able to ask her? maybe just reassure her that the kid/ kids will be going to childminder and that you calculated the expenses etc maybe she will relax then. my MIL is happy but definitely was clear she will not be looking after babies when i'm back to work which is fine. they retire and want to relax and live. my mum wouldn't say that but my mum never worked and was always a housewife x hope she comes round

chlo1993 · 22/09/2019 18:50

Doodlebug321 · 22/09/2019 20:36

Is anyone else really struggling with headaches?
Not so bad I need to take anything, but present and annoying and distracting.
This is normal, right?!

Bumpingalong84 · 22/09/2019 20:37

5+6 over here and having brown/dark red discharge over hear 😢 fear I have a second mc on the way. Had a mmc in May. Just crappy crappy feeling

facevalue · 22/09/2019 21:12

@Doodlebug321 i keep asking the questions you are the first to mention the headaches apart from me so far.

@bumpingalong84 i had a MC in may too. it's so stressful please just call your dr or midwife and ask for a blood test and scan x you can try another pregnancy test after a week maybe to see if still positive to reassure you

@Doodlebug321 I’m having headaches too! Mostly in the late afternoon. Not had to take anything for them but still annoying.

Alice8688 · 23/09/2019 05:24

Hello everyone. I hope you're all ok? I've been kinda lurking the last few days as been an uncertain time with heterotropic or ectopic scare (which is ongoing but I'm coping with better now).

I've been having headaches on and off too. And the sickness has hit me like a wet fish (even typing that makes me wanna barf).

Mostly it's my mood swings. And uncontrollable crying and sensitivity. (Today hasn't helped that I've just found out Thomas Cook has gone bust and I can't stop crying. I'm a travel agent with cooks bookings and I'm working today. So I need to grip that 🙄).

How is everyone else coping with the emotions?? And everything in general xxx

cornishTJ · 23/09/2019 08:26

7 weeks today. Off work with banging head and nausea/sickness. Paracetamol just not doing anything (when I can keep them down). Also have the heightened sense of smell, mood swings and constantly tired.
Is this normal at seven weeks to just want to lie on the sofa and do anything? I hope this passes soon! Feel useless.

Doodlebug321 · 23/09/2019 08:29

@Alice8688 I hope everything works out for you, sorry it's a sucky time 😔 Are you seeing EPU/EPAU? I have the horrible fear of ectopic in my mind because of some right sided burning / discomfort.

@Moongirl10 @facevalue the headaches are ever present, just there, worse in the evenings. Sometimes I think I might be a bit dehydrated as my wee is strong coloured.

Today I have stabby pains in my boobs, but stabby from the inside out. And the warmth and itchiness is back. But it's itching with my nipps and I can't scratch them as it feels like shards of glass when I brush against them.

The prunes have so far achieved nothing. This is not a glamorous part of early pregnancy 🤣

CharlieB93 · 23/09/2019 08:51

@flossy12 @facevalue
thanks both, the only thing i know is that she seems to regret having a child herself, when i was young my dad worked away for weeks at a time. I think its time i grew up and lived my life without considering her opinion on everything (easier said than done). Had a big cry last night, feeling much better today. I'm just going to not pester her and let her come round (if she ever will).
My MIL has actively said she wants to mind the child when we're at work - this has upset my mum (Even though she explicitly said she doesn't want to look after him/her?)
I don't even know what to do for the best anymore...

Hardheadedwoman39 · 23/09/2019 09:56

Hi @Bumpingalong84

I had a slight bleed at that stage in my last pregnancy, the doctor referred me to the EPU for a scan straight away, try and do that if you can?

It's so horrid not knowing x

Alice8688 · 23/09/2019 10:18

@Doodlebug321 thank you darling. Yes. I'm being scanned weds morning. And if all fine: great. If inconclusive: I'll be called back. I feel comforted that all that can be done is being done xxx

mrsf1204 · 23/09/2019 13:00

Anyone getting cravings yet? I haven't as such but I haven't been able to decide what I want to eat or even if I want to eat for days now, I'm really indecisive whereas usually I know exactly what I want every day!

However today I saw this and oh my god it hit the nail on the head - brought back my childhood! Anyone else remember them?! I've just had it and I feel like I've hit a desire for food for the first time in about a week...

Due May 2020 - could do with a buddy!
BaaBaaBS · 23/09/2019 13:06

Hello I'm due my 2nd in May! Currently 6+5.

So far everything about this has been so much easier than the first. I'm only 6 weeks in though haha.

ejmay90 · 23/09/2019 13:13

@mrsf1204 Yessss!! Craving tuna baguettes and bless my other half he just brought me one back for lunch as I'm feeling so bad today couldn't go to work.

I know how your feeling when you have no clue what you want to eat or even if you want to eat at all! I normally know what I want to eat and now can't decide either. I love lamb and my other half cooked it yesterday and it repulsed me!! Couldn't even stand the smell.

Haha yes I remember those!! Enjoy :)

Bumpingalong84 · 23/09/2019 13:23

Thank you @Hardheadedwoman39 I just feel so anxious after a mmc in May.

I’ve called the Gp and I’m waiting to hear back, they will refer me to EPU.

@Alice8688 sorry to hear you have been having a rough time too. It’s so scary.

Doodlebug321 · 23/09/2019 14:07

@Bumpingalong84 hope you're ok

ChampooPapi · 23/09/2019 14:38

ChampooPapi · 23/09/2019 14:38
