Hi all. So I'm due my first in May of next year. I only found out I was pregnant on Saturday. My husband is great but I have no friends at this stage they either have grown up kids or arent planning to any time soon
I have two sisters. One with grown up kids who she doesn't see and one who's getting married soon so is in her own little bubble.

I would just like someone to talk about all of this as I'm really anxious about the next 9 months.

Thanks for reading :)

@Shelbustotherescue south west UK. Honestly the treatment I received yesterday was appalling. I was on my own as my husband was at work and they just had no empathy and didn't explain anything...

ejmay90 · 17/09/2019 17:06

@danielasummer congratulations!!

My midwife appointment is Friday and ill be just shy of 8 weeks.
I have been having on off symptoms and been told by drs and midwife you can't go by symptoms so try not to worry.
I know it's easier said than done as I feel the same today with not feeling pregnant. You will have days like this so try and relax if possible.

Shelbustotherescue · 17/09/2019 17:17

@mrsf1204 I'm in the south west too !! I honestly can't believe that ! I would go back, chase your blood results - did they give you any paperwork after your scan ?

I'm really sorry you've been treated that way x

danielasummer · 17/09/2019 17:20

@ejmay90 Thank you so much! Congratulations to you too :) When is your due date?

I'm trying so hard to stay relax, but the problem is I work part time from home, so I spend much of the day on forums, reading pregnancy books, generally doing my husband's head in with panicked texts throughout the day!

I'm 27 with a normal BMI and have been told I'm low risk..but I've wanted this baby for so long that I am so anxious for he/she to be growing healthily. Every day seems to drag on!

ejmay90 · 17/09/2019 17:29

@danielasummer
Thank you! I'm due 3rd may :) you?

Oh that doesn't help! I work in an office and also spend most of my day on the PC on forums. Googling anything makes it worse too. Haha I spend alot of my day messaging my other half too and he does the usual 'stay positive'

I'm 29, fit and healthy too but unfortunately miscarried my first in june. I think its luck of the draw unfortunately :( not anything anyone does wrong.

I'm with you on wanting a baby for so long and trying to do everything to keep this baby safe. Being anxious won't change the outcome, so try to relax and enjoy it as much as you can. I wish I took my own advice lol

Clark20 · 17/09/2019 18:39

@ejmay90 yes the one near me are charging £75 and I just want peace of mind! And to just see bubba and for it to feel more real! I suffer with anxiety so think after what you and @flossy12 have said I'll book one!

Unfortunately I can't book one until after my holiday @flossy12 as 6 weeks whilst away! We've told our sisters but want to keep surprise for parents for 12 week scan. My mum will be so excited! Can't wait to surprise her! Mocktails at the ready for our holidays!!

facevalue · 17/09/2019 18:41

@danielasummer @ejmay90 oh dear. i guess i'm not alone in the OH torturing texts and if he doesn't say what i want to hear it's awful. men r so lucky not to have to be so anxious and feel like it's my body so it's my responsibility alone if anything goes wrong

let's try to be calm ( i say! lol )

funny story - OH said will go for a lunchtime beer.. came home stinking of beer ( not sure if it's my heightened smell sense but that erupted into you said a beer and then turned into 3! So Fu**ing what! why did i get so angry and upset .. he told me that i'm unreasonable so now i'm crying and will get ready to leave the house for my art class but honestly feel like not coming back ! is this me just being crazy or my hormones

someone wise tell me to stop being dramatic please

Clark20 · 17/09/2019 18:44

@Namechangeymcnamechange11 I feel the same! I don't feel pregnant. And occasionally I feel sick and think it's in my head! Get the odd discomfort in belly and that's it really. All feels very surreal at the minute! Think we're going to go for a early scan as first and I'm a big worrier!!

Clark20 · 17/09/2019 18:47

@danielasummer congratulations!! I'm the same... I work in a office and constantly googling bits and get myself worried. Also I drive a hour and half to and from work so a lot of time to over think! It seems such a long wait to the scan.

danielasummer · 17/09/2019 18:47

@ejmay90 I'm due 18th/19th May (says different things on different apps!)

I think we can drive ourselves crazy with the internet at our fingers can't we? I'm googling every little thing! Must..put..phone..down. I'm going to try and practice some mindfulness to relax myself. Just can't help thinking every 5 minutes OMG am I still pregnant?!

Have you had a scan yet?

I'm so so sorry you suffered a m/c. My heart and thoughts go out to you xx

ejmay90 · 17/09/2019 18:53

@danielasummer yea mine said different dates too but I had a scan at 6 weeks which confirmed 3rd may.
Yea so am I, so feeling not pregnant right now and now I feel miserable and worried.
Good idea try a relaxation app.

Thank you, just made me anxiety so much worse during this one. Just want it all to be ok!!

mrsf1204 · 17/09/2019 19:09

@Shelbustotherescue nope no paper work - although they did at least send it to my GP so by the time I phoned them they had it.

I've also just done another clear blue digital and it's moved on to 2-3 weeks, last week was 1-2 so it's all looking promising at the moment... at least it's moving on?

I have got horrendous back ache today though, like I get when I'm due on... I'm worried I'm going to come on my period. Anyone else have awful back ache?!

MrsTeece2be · 17/09/2019 19:13

Hey all
Congratulations!

I found out my pregnant on friday the 13th! Lol by my dates I think I'm around 5/6 weeks, I've got pcos so my periods arent always usual or on time.

Been trying to get pregnant for around a year now, so my emotions are sky high & I literally couldn't be happier - I've had a miss miscarriage too.

I've decided I'm going to pay for an early scan, just so I can put my mind at rest.
When I had my first (8years) ago, I had the worst morning sickness.

Since finding out this time, I've had nausea, my boobs are huge, and the back ache is every day! But I'm still massively worrying!

I guess I'm just hoping that maybe you've got some words of wisdom for me, like you all ive been googling too and its defo not helped Haha!

I'm waiting for a letter to see the midwife, still everything seems to surreal, I'm still waiting for it to actually sink in! Xxx

Shelbustotherescue · 17/09/2019 19:15

@mrsf1204 when I had my scan they gave me a print out of what they could and couldn't see.

That's really promising ! Fingers crossed for you that you've got a sticky bean growing away in there !!

Clark20 · 17/09/2019 19:17

@MrsTeece2be congratulations!
Everything seems very surreal for me too, so completely normal! This is my first so not sure what to expect! I think these early scans are worth it as puts minds at rest. ❤️

MrsTeece2be · 17/09/2019 19:22

@Clark20
Thank you lovely, and to you too!

I totally agree, when I lost my first I didnt know for 5 weeks, and I dont want to put myself through that again. So my fingers have been crossed so tightly!

My symptoms keep coming in waves, which I'm hoping is a good sign.

It cant just be me that hates waiting though Haha! Xx

Clark20 · 17/09/2019 19:47

@MrsTeece2be you're definitely not alone, I hate waiting, and just makes you worry more. I guess it doesn't feel real until the scan? I've been feeling nauseas last couple days, but think it's psychological as I only just found out two days ago. Other than that really tender boobs and strange feeling in belly every now and then. I'm concerned as I drive 3 hours a day and sit at a computer all day.... so a lot of sitting down, which might not be great later on! Think I have been lucky on the midwife front as got offered an appointment on the 29th sept, week and half after I contacted them, but unfortunately on holiday which I'm kicking myself about, so seeing them on the 5th October. And may book a early scan that weekend for peace of mind. I will be 6+3 then... not sure if too early or not!!

Herewego2020 · 18/09/2019 07:46

Wow so many messages to catch up on, congratulations to all new joiners and also my heart goes out to those who have previously MC, I have had 2 over the years and they're heartbreaking. Makes me very anxious.
I've got my first midwife appointment next wed - cant wait. I've still not got much of an appetite. Feeling nauseous but not been sick. I understand the whole hot breasts lol. I was travelling long hours thurs and friday fo a conference and excuse my language but made me feel utter shite! I spent the saturday sleeping. My sons have of course kept me busy and also causing me near heart failure showing me the winter coats they would like. My teenager of course wanting to look 'cool' at school and he asked for a North Face to which I replied "do you have North Face money".. good old mum still ordered it and I blame totally the hormones!!

Dollyah · 18/09/2019 07:50

Hi everyone.

New on here. Was reading posts last night.
I’m 7+6 weeks and up until last Saturday had felt ‘pregnant’ , extreme tiredness, nausea on and off throughout the day, sore boobs. But now I have next to no nausea (maybe a fleeting few seconds a day!) no tiredness but still sore boobs and mood swings.
Dr did a blood test to check hcg levels on Monday and said it was a very high positive, but doing another on Thursday to check it’s still going up. Has anyone else experienced loss of symptoms?
I have no spotting or cramps.
First pregnancy and although I know I can’t change the outcome whatever, it’s nerve wracking all the same.
Anyone else been in similar situation?

MrsTeece2be · 18/09/2019 08:16

@Dollyah congrats!
I think its normal for symptoms to come and go.
My first I had the worst morning sickness from the moment I found out.
But with this one, I've only had nausea, and it comes in waves.

With your first they do say the symptoms can take longer to show themselves, try to not worry - although i know that's easier said than done! - i too am worrying!

@Herewego2020 congratulations! I've definitely had similar symptoms to you, including the hot boobs lol!
And hormones make you do the craziest things dont they lol I'm sure your son will love his new coat haha! Xx

mrsasprey · 18/09/2019 08:58

im 5 weeks and 3 day by my calculations and could really do with a friend ive requested to join the facebook group but im happy for any one to add me on facebook im hannah asprey

ejmay90 · 18/09/2019 08:58

@Dollyah

Congratulations!
I feel the exact same as you, i'm 7+3 and had extreme tiredness, nausea was awful last 2 weeks but now my nausea has seem to have gone but i'm still tired and sore boobs with mood swings.
I have been told by many different people you can't go by loss of symptoms.
I had a miscarriage in June and i lost all my symptoms and felt completely normal and then i had the cramps and bleeding but even then my Dr said i shouldn't go by no symptoms.

It really is nerve wracking but best to think like you are, you can't change the outcome so enjoy what you can :)

facevalue · 18/09/2019 09:17

@ejmay90 true. that's really good advice. sorry about your MC in june x i had one in May.

ejmay90 · 18/09/2019 09:27

@facevalue thank you, sorry to hear about yours also. It's such a horrible time wondering what your body is doing and having absolutely no clue!

Thank god for these private scans is all i can say! just keeps your mind at ease for a few weeks!
