I'm 31+5 days...Had a scan today just to check on babies position ect before I'm booked in for my elective c section which will be at 39 weeks.Pregnancy has been fine so far.No worrys.Csection is just due to having had previous sections...She said baby is measuring slightly under...But within range. But never the less she wants to book me in with consultant to discuss (Discuss what if its within range?) And a re scan in 2 weeks...Babies estimate weight is 3lbs 5oz today...I suffer badly with anxiety & it's just stressed me a bit...Anyone had similar?...

My baby measured small from around 30 weeks (5th centile and under). My husband and I are both average and it caused a lot of concern as I also had gestational diabetes so she should have been big rather than small. I was given steroids at 34 weeks because they thought she’d stopped growing and they may have to get her out early. In the end I was induced at 39 weeks and she was 6lb 7oz. She’s now 18 months and very healthy and boisterous but tiny and very slight. Turned out after all that worry and stress she was just genetically small!

I was scanned every fortnight from 25 weeks due to small baby and was induced at 37+4. She weighed 5lb 3oz which was less than they expected but perfectly formed. She's now 8 weeks old and weighed last week at 7lb 8oz. She's just tiny.

And now only 0.4th centile! Health visitor isn't worried just recommended a reweigh in 4 weeks.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve had growth scans since 28 weeks (due to bmi) and my boys always been slightly below the average line. I’m now 37 weeks and had one last week at 36 and they said he’s still smaller and but still growing along his own line. Something like at 36 weeks they like them to be between 5 pounds 6 and 6 pounds whereas my boy was looking more 5 pound 4 - it’s all estimation. His head is normal but his limbs and tummy are the smaller parts. I was worried and still do get a little worried now and again when I overthink but trying to remember That we are in very good hands! If they were really worried they would induce straight away. I’ve got to return next week for another scan and consultation ❤️ Not long and baby will be here xx

I have had two babies in the past and my first was on the 10th centile and 2nd baby was born on the 3rd centile, I am now 15 weeks saw consultant today and I’ve got to have more scans and be kept an eye on for that reason, I am not a big girl and personally I think it’s all ok and sometimes people just have naturally smaller babies that are healthy 💛

They worried me terribly with my second pregnancy. Was told at 30 weeks he was small so I was at the hospital for extra scans and monitoring twice a week. Was so concerned. I was told he would probably be about 5lb if I went to term. I had him at almost 38 weeks and he was 8lb 6 and the biggest of my 3 babies. No idea how they got it so wrong. Easier said than done I know but try not to worry.

Thankyou all so much for sharing.Im 5ft 2 and usually 10 stone...So not a big girl.Ive gained 14lbs so far...And I feel normal like I did with my last baby. And he was 7lb 10...I have 3 children...all were 7lb 10 7lb 6 & 7lb 10...I never had late scans with them either to compare what they were at this stage.I just had my 12 week...and my 20 week anomaly...So who knows...its just waiting this 2 weeks and imaging oh god...what if theres been no growth...what would happen...Why would it happen...Its hard not to worry.Even though I honestly feel like everythings fine...If shes 3lb 5 at 32 weeks & your meant to gain half a lbs a week...by 39 weeks she would be in the 7lb region...I guess I'd complain if they werent careful. But I still sometimes think where is the evidence...what makes you think these things?...

I had additional scans from around 30 weeks as they were concerned that he wasn’t growing at the correct rate and said he’d be tiny, he was 8lb 7 🤷‍♀️
