Cramps during early pregnancy

I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant so still early haven't got my first midwife appointment for another 2 weeks.

I'm just wondering if what I'm experiencing is normal ever since I found out I'm pregnant just over 2 weeks ago I keep experiencing weird cramps that come and go sometimes quite strong others times quite mild. They feel quite different to period cramps they feel more like stretching or a pulling sensation they usually only last 10 minutes and then disappear and then maybe the same again happens a few hours later. some days are worse than others. I've had no bleeding either which I'm hoping is a good sign x

Yep. I had it from when I found out till 8 weeks ish. I kept worrying that my period was starting, but it is apparently just everything stretching to get ready for the baby.

Congratulations!

@Peony99 I have read online that it's just your body preparing for the baby but was just starting to get a little worried.

Yes that's how it feels like my period could start any minute it started the day I found out that I'm pregnant my body must have been telling me.

Thank you ❤️ x

I had quite noticeable "stretching" cramps from 5 weeks. Very few now at 16, but in the first days it was constant. My mum said she never had any cramps of any kind thoughout, though, so anything's "normal".

I had terrible cramps until around week 6! It felt as if I was about to come on my period any minute. I'm now 14+2 so I wouldn't worry!! X
