Anyone else at the “fat not looking pregnant” yet stage?

I feel very lucky and grateful to be pregnant, and feel immensely sorry for anyone struggling so this isn’t about that

But is anyone else just feeling hugely fat but not actually looking pregnant yet? My boobs are absolutely enormous, I bought a new 34G cup bra and it’s too bloody small, and I just feel huge everywhere. I can’t wait to get a proper baby bump and buy maternity clothes but it’s still too early for that.

Anyone else feel like a lump? What’s everyone else wearing atm?

Yes! 18 weeks and still look like I've just had a heavy lunch (I had a high BMI to begin with). I haven't gained any weight yet but would love to look more than exhausted with weird eating habits.

I started wearing maternity leggings at 10 weeks because they are ridiculously comfortable. I'm keeping them forever.

Yep I'm 13 weeks and have been super bloated for about 10 weeks Blush

I'm 2 dress sizes smaller than with my last pregnancy (where I didnt show until about 28 weeks) and with it being the second one I'm hoping bump will be more obvious soon 🤞

I was a size 20 when I got pregnant and I am now 27 weeks. I've put on 6 pounds but I think I still look fat.

My slim friend was all baby belly by this point so i'm wondering when I will really start to show!

I carry weight on my tummy anyway so maybe baby is just cushioning into it!

Went through my entire last pregnancy just looking fat (I was a size 18 to start).. don't hold out much hope this time of it being any different as i'm starting too sizes bigger :( envious of people's lovely, obvious bumps

I was size 8 pre-pregnancy, looked just fat until 4-5 months in, then my bump appeared.
Re clothes - at home cheap maternity leggings and t-shirts, at the office Seraphine stuff.

Enjoy pregnancy and don’t eat too much (I lost half a stone in the first trimester and then gained 4 by the end!) Blush

I didn’t look pregnant until the third trimester.

I think a lot of it depends on your build, also how far along are you? I looked chubby weeks 11-16, then slightly more pregnant than fat, then by week 18 properly pregnant and it was such a relief!!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 02/09/2019 12:17

I think if you knew me before I look pregnant I think if you didn't I just look fat. I'm 27 weeks. I was a size 18/20 to start with.

ShirleyPhallus · 02/09/2019 12:34

I’m 12 weeks and so just on the cusp of starting to get bigger, I think I’m just really bloated with huge boobs

I might start a maternity wear thread on S&B

Im 29 weeks and was a size 14 before finding out. I still look fat and bloated, I've had fewer comments about being pregnant and lots of people saying how much weight I've put on! Gee ta.
I was hoping I was starting to look pregnant by now but I've been quite ill so I've not gained much actual weight, its just all shifted to my midriff. I've been in maternity clothes since about 20 weeks but I love high waisted trousers so its been difficult getting my jeans on. Im still wearing normal t shirts though.

I will be 12 weeks tomorrow and have put on half a stone already. I’m trying to blame the IVF drugs, rather than the fact that I can’t stop eating beige food.

I’ve been wearing paper bag type trousers that are loose at the top and accommodate the bloat. I’ve just ordered a few loose fitting dresses that should hopefully last a while.
