I have struggled with a mix of constipation and diarrhoea since pretty much finding out I'm pregnant (now 17+5). I have more recently started getting piles which arent painful but are uncomfortable and itchy. Anyone recommend anything to help?

Hey @Beck2277. I went 10 days once without a poo when pregnant with DS. You could ask the gp if they can prescribe anything; I had this lovely tube thing that you popped up there and squeezed the cream out. So unattractive! You could try some yoga positions which can help with bowel mobility. Good luck x

I bought some haemorrhoid cream from boots. Pharmacist said it was fine to use x

Feel your pain!!!!

I am 22 weeks. been suffering with constipation since about 13 weeks. horrid!

I am not sure if I have developed haemorrhoids but I am so sore and everytime I have to "go" it is so painful and I end up bleeding (so gross, I'm sorry!).

I might get myself booked in at GP as I can't see anything when I look in the mirror but I am wondering if I have internal haemorrhoids that are being irritated and see if I can get any cream prescribed...

pregnancy is sooooo glam... NOT! :) x

Movicol to prevent the constipation and daily Epsom salt baths are my best friends right now. Germaloids cream and suppositories are both safe during pregnancy and you can buy them over the counter. Your GP can probably prescribe something stronger though.
