Lower back period cramps third trimester

Wondering if anyone can answer for me.. mentioned it to midwife but she didn’t really say anything about it other than confirming I’m not in labour! I’m 35 weeks pregnant and for the past 2 weeks or so I’ve been having period pain cramps in my lower back. Usually this is where I experience menstrual cramps rather than my stomach.

They have slowly become a little more intense and slightly more frequent, but still only about 2-3 times a day. Is this a variety of BH (don’t think I’ve experienced BH unless this is it), or is it something else? Baby is definitely not back to back.

Probably BH. Do you normally feel menstrual cramps in your back? I do and felt all my contractions in my back during both labours, nothing in my stomach at all, although neither baby was back-to-back. I have always assumed it was due to the position of my uterus, which apparently is tilted very far back.

Poss BH. I had all sorts of weird pains and feelings from about 34 weeks which the midwife said was just prep for labour. I even had stabbing pains like a bad stitch under my ribs. I dont know if it's just an easy thing for them to attribute things to at that point in pregnancy.

Hmmm I have a retroverted uterus so maybe it’s to do with that then? I’ll ask my midwife again when I next see her. Keep worrying it’s a warning sign that I’m going to have an early labour!
