MeetmiBaby scan photos

So my dating scan letter came with information about meetmibaby and from what I understand you don’t get given a print out of a picture at the hospital, but can download a picture from the app at a cost of £10 per image!?

Has anyone else experienced this? I was looking forward to getting physical photo(s) there so I could take home to show to parents/nan :( I’m assuming I then have to pay to print the download. We wanted to use the picture in our announcement so need a physical print out. Seems really quite unfair when everyone else gets printed pictures given to them at their scans for less money!

If I want like 4 photos downloaded it’s cheaper to go private where pictures are included!!!

My understanding is they do give you a print still but also the option to get the download as well?

At my 12 week scan my hospital use the meetmibaby service. 3 pictures were uploaded to the website for me to download, they were £10 each to get the photo without the watermark, so £30 for all 3 digital photos. I think the price is a bit steep considering the photos are digital, I was so disappointed there was no option to get a print out at the hospital, I'd happily pay £10 for that!

For DS, they didn’t provide any kind of photos at all - but you could take a picture of the scan on the screen using your phone Confused

With DD, same trust but different scan location, I was given 6 print outs for free.

No logic at all.

Our local hospital uses meetmibaby & we didn't get a print out, just 3 or 4 images online which you can download for £10 per image. You can save the pictures but they have a watermark on them if you've not paid.

My hospital uses something else at £5 a photo but at our 12 week scan, the sonographer printed off 9 photos for us and just gave them too us! Yet I saw other people paying at the machine!

Not sure why she so kind to us but you never know.. £10 is steep! I’d buy one & take photos on your phone to send to people! You could even print the phone photo for about 20p in Boots!

My hospital charges £5 per scan picture for a physical one
