Bleeding week 5 for 7 days

I've now been bleeding for 7 days - predominately brown and minimal on a pad but fair amount on wiping, every time I go the loo with no days free of some sort of bleeding now since last Sunday.
After the first couple of days there was a bit of red so I went to the EPU and an internal scan and bloods which both showed everything to be normal as they would expect. But now I just want it to stop or at least reduce which it doesn't appear to. Surely it can't be normal?
I have ectropian so initially thought it could be that but I haven't DTD or had any other trauma down there except the internal scan so don't see why it would still be due to that now.
Had anyone bleed continuously for such a long time and still things have been okay?
Looking for reassurance mainly if anyone has any....

Hey!
I had this too at what I thought was 6 weeks, i was taken for an emergency ultrasound due to previous complicated miscarriages, they dated me 4 weeks, everything that should be there was there, however I didn't find it very reassuring at the time I instantly thought 'here we go again' - rescanned 2 weeks later and baby had developed with a heartbeat. I'm now preparing for my daughters 4th birthday!
I had 2 miscarriages before my pregnancy with her. 1st which was bright red blood from the start at 11 weeks and 2nd one I didn't find out until my 12 week scan. It can go either way at this point. But hold on to hope that brown blood usually means old blood. Mine was put down to an implantation bleed. Have they offered a rescan OP? Sending you lots of sticky baby dust. Xx

@LilliesMummyx thanks so much for this reassuring message. So lovely to hear you have your brilliant daughter after all your heartbreak. I do hold on hope with it being brown blood, so maybe I should direct my hope to it not changing to red!

They booked me in for two weeks to rescan so I think if things continue as planned that should mean a heartbeat so fingers crossed!

Just an update, went for a private scan today and embryo is there with a heartbeat! We are so overjoyed! I'm still bleeding (mainly brown) but perhaps this is normal for me I guess! The sonographer seemed worried until she did the scan and then basically reassured me that there is nothing at the moment concerningGrin

Hi @LilliesMummyxGreenwhale,
Congratulations on your positive news. I also had some bleeding - a tiny bit of spotting around 6w and then 4 or 5 days of brown blood just before my 8 week scan. I was heartbroken as had had a previous miscarriage with similar symptoms so was also overjoyed when they found all was well at 8 weeks. Nearly 21 weeks and going strong now here. Hope that things keep being positive for you.

Wow @coconutlatte44 21 weeks! That's aching! It just seems like such a lifetime away from where I am right now but fingers crossed.
I have my two week follow up with the EPU this week and I'll be 7 weeks so hoping it all seems good and then will have to start to trust my body more as the next scan will be 12 weeks!
Minimal bleeding now, only every few days if that and my boobs are very sore so no worrying signs. Just need to try and keep my spirits high as it's so easy for me (especially reading everything in MN) to sink into a dark hole of likeliness of miscarriage which really isn't healthy but maybe I just need to get off here!
Thanks you both for the supportSmile

Great news your little baby is fine. I bled at 10 weeks for over 2 weeks.... Scared the hell out of me even though the scan said the baby was fine. There seemed to be solo much bloof. Anyway, 2 years on and that baby is now 18mo now and just great.

Flyingkites123 · 08/09/2019 19:34

Hmm "there seemed to be sooo much blood.' must proof read

So reassuring to hear such positive stories thanks @Flyingkites123 Smile Hopefully I will be able to tell a similar story in two years time!
