Hi, so today i had a scan with maternal medical team, im 31weeks +3 days and was told that babys head is measuring 34w +2days, tummy is measuring 32w +3 days and femur measuring 33w +2days. The doctor said this was fine but im now gettin a little worried something is wrong with baby ? I know im probably over thinking this !!! Has anyone else had experiences like this and what was the outcome ? Thanks

I had a scan at 32 weeks for a placenta check and baby was measuring between 33+1 and 33+5 across the different measurements. Remember they’re just averages based on the ‘average’ baby at that stage in gestation. Both me and the dad are tall so we expected baby to have longer than average femurs for example! If the consultant is happy then you’re good.

Unless their concerned I really wouldn’t worry. Easy for me to say as I had a little worry of my own on Tuesday where I was told at my 36 week growth scan that my little man is measuring 2 weeks behind. His head is bang on target but the rest is a little behind. They aren’t worried as he has been slightly smaller than a average all along but will see me again in 2 weeks for another check. Try to remember your in good hands And they are really thorough 💐 xx

I had a few extra scans between 30 & 40 weeks due to my baby being in an awkward breech position and she always measured big. She was estimated at being a couple of weeks bigger each time but was born at 7lb 15 which isn't big.
Babies just come in different sizes. If it was too far out the dr would have said, and you would be asked to have more scans to monitor

I wouldn't be worried if the drs aren't worried, babies come in all shapes and sizes. At my scan my baby had a medium size head with a big tummy and little legs. With my first she always measured a big head, small tummy and long legs and she came out looking all in proportion

Very similar to my scan.

Baby was 7-14 with normal sized head and long legs like her mamma.
