Is it normal to keep getting headaches in your 2nd trimester? I'm 13+4 and I've had one for the last 3 days! Anyone else get this/have any tips for getting rid of them naturally?

I'm 12+3 and I've been getting them since Sunday, everyday, and they don't really go away. I've been avoiding paracetamol and using 4head. They still stick around but I am finding it helps ease it. I hope this doesn't last too much longer.

Are you dehydrated? That's what mine were put down to. I thought I was drinking enough but turns out I was wrong!

Drink more water, if that doesn’t help please speak with your midwife to rule out preeclampsia.

I had them a lot 2nd trimester. Midwife said it's down to hormones. If your prone to migraines or headaches pre pregnancy as well the hormone changes in pregnancy can make them worse.

@Mintypea5 I always used to get hormone induced headaches before getting pregnant! They always used to fall when I was due on😣 which made me worry as to why I was suddenly getting them bad again! As long as it's a normal part of being pregnant then I don't mind!!

@maybenextmonth I love my 4head stick, life saver!! I've tried staying away from the paracetamol as well, I think that's why the headaches seem so bad! I'm used to just taking some pain killers and forgetting about it haha

@maria94 same here. I think I'm also finding them bad because they stay from about lunchtime until I go to bed. If you find anything that works, let me know! I bought some migraine strips as well but haven't tried those yet.

maria94 · 29/08/2019 22:13

@maybenextmonth I've got those migraine strips, they are good but not as strong as the 4head! I've heard tiger balm is good but I haven't tried that yet 😬
