I am 6+2 weeks and have been using Utrogestan (progesterone) pessaries for just under 2 weeks. I have had 6 previous miscarriages and last night noticed a slight brown colour on my liner. Had an early scan today and sonographer could only see the sac so need to wait a week for another scan. Meanwhile I have started to bleed and suffer cramps. I have been advised to keep taking the progesterone. I am thinking it’s over so does anyone have any success stories with progesterone while bleeding?

Hi @C4rla - this must be a really stressful time for you. I had several rounds of IVF before this pregnancy and at 5+3 I had sharp cramps and bright red bleeding that lasted a few hours while on utrogestan pessaries. I too had the dreaded wait for the follow-up scan and it was the longest few days of my life.

I'm now almost 23 weeks so in my case it was fine, and when I came on here and posted about it at the time, lots of posters said they'd experienced bleeding and cramping during successful pregnancies so it's very common.

However, you won't know until you have your scan, so try to keep busy and occupy yourself as much as you can. It's agony, I know 💐
