So, I found out 2 weeks ago today that I am pregnant which we are over the moon about. The CB digital test said 3+ so I think I am around 7 weeks now.

I cant get this idea out of my head that it is an ectopic pregnancy. I have been getting the odd pains. I went to doctors last Thursday and put in a urine sample and stool sample and am going for bloods taken thursday. I havent had any bleeding or spotting so that puts my mind at rest a little.

I have taken another test today and wondered if a positive test would show this strong if it was ectopic with hcg levels not being as high.

It's making me really anxious cos my symptoms are also fading i.e boobs arent as sore.

I have heard that test appear quite faint when it's ectopic.

I am worried that I am having an ectopic pregnancy too. I don't really know why. I am 8 weeks and have had some one sided discomfort for the last few days. Not had any other symptoms but had a MC in December so just worried I suppose.

My boob pain and nausea has eased off a few times then come back I think that's normal tbh. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy xxxx

@ChikiTIKI its just such a worrying time. My boob pain is still there just not as much. Just the odd pains worry me. Part of me thinks I should pay for an ealry scan.

Fingers crossed for you and best of luck. xxx

@nikdan123 I've had an ectopic pregnancy. My test never got dark. What type of odds pains are you getting? I'm 22 weeks pregnant now and have had all sorts of pains through out! There's certain things to look at for with ectopic (although you may not get any until it ruptures) shoulder tip pain is one but you wanna watch out for sharp pains on one side. You'll be getting pains anyway due to things stretching. The nhs website will tell you exactly what to look out for. With mine I had brown spotting from day one then woke up in absolute agony with red blood. Have a quick google and if you think you're experience the symptoms call your local early pregnancy unit.

Cramps pain is very normal in early pregnancy, as is initial symptoms easing. Is there a reason apart from the pains you might suspect an ectopic? It sounds unlikely it is.

nikdan123 · 28/08/2019 10:03

I get sharp pains, sometimes on the left sometime on the right, and sometimes in lower abdomen. I am probably just over thinking. I was getting period cramping when I first found out and wasn't too worried about that. The pain isn't unbearable just a little uncomfortable but doesn't last very long.

I am at the doctors to get my bloods taken in the morning so will mention it then.

Thankyou Grin

The sharp pains on each side sound like round ligament pain to me. Very normal. I believe (could be wrong) that ectopic pain is usually just on the one side.

@Tableclothing thats reassuring to know thankyou. Maybe I just need to relax and stop stressing lol xx

relax and stop stressing

Excellent advice but bloody hard to do, especially in the early weeks.

I had a massive panic at 6 weeks when all the pregnancy symptoms disappeared overnight. (I'd done some mildly strenuous exercise that day and was convinced it was all my fault too) I forked out £70 for a private scan at 7 weeks and saw a heartbeat. (at cost per minute probably the most expensive time of my life, but actually did help me relax a bit) Now 19 weeks and the child is definitely making its presence felt!

You might find the link below helpful - put in your numbers and it tells you the statistical likelihood of a healthy pregnancy.

My advice would be stop doing tests. It makes you anxious and paranoid. If you haven't had any bleeding then no need to panic. If you can, book in for an early scan to put your mind at rest.
