Exhausted

Is it normal to feel so tired so early in pregnancy? I am roughly 7 weeks pregnant and I am absolutely shattered to the point where I could quite easily fall asleep at my desk at work. I had to put my head down for half an hour on my lunch hour. I hope this doesn't last Sad

The early days of pregnancy can be exhausting. I was waking in the night too but it does get better.

Hi @nikdan123,

Totally normal, it hopefully won't last forever though! I was exhausted too, the first 12 weeks and then the minute I got into my second trimester I was full of energy. Starting to get really tired again now that I am in my third trimester but, honestly, it is totally normal.

If your employer knows that you are pregnant, ask them if they wouldn't mind you taking an extra break for a nap in the afternoon. It would always be about 2/3pm that I would really start to struggle.

Oh and congratulations on your pregnancy! Smile x

I was asleep more than I was awake in first pregnancy. Especially in 1st trimester.

Yup I am totally exhausted. ALL.THE.TIME!
I am 10+2. I really hope I get some energy back soon! 12 hour shifts at work are killing me.

Thankyou Smile.

That's very reassuring to know. Felt like I was just being lazy since I found out Grin.

I have also been waking a few times in the night so that probably isn't helping. My employers are pretty good if I want to leave a little early etc or work from home the odd time.

Roll on 12 week point Halo
