Growth scan accuracy ? 36 weeks

Hi ladies, just wanted to hear experiences really. My baby boy has been measuring slightly below the centile all along and today at my 36 week appt the midwife said he’s measuring 2 weeks behind - growth hasn’t dramatically dropped he’s going on the same path as last time and roughly around 5 pounds 8. They have booked me in for a 3rd growth scan at 38 weeks. I just wondered if anyone has experienced similar and what they do as a worst case scenario? My husband was a 6 pounder something and I was a 7 pounder. When you think my husband was that at 40 weeks and I’m near 6 pounds 4 weeks before that it seems very over cautious but I’m glad of this! Any scan to see him makes me happy 😃 xx

My growth scan at 36weeks said I was 2 weeks under and he weighed 5lb 9. I was told to ignor dates and midwife said his in perfect range on my chart but I've seen threads where people's measurements have been out by a good few pounds either way! I guess it's all just an estimate until the day

It was last week. My midwife said they gain half a pound per week on average so she said his heading towards 8lb but who knows he might even be big and end up 11lb. I’m hoping the last bit was suppose to be a joke I haven’t been booked in for another scan though so will find out on the day he arrives I guess
