HCG blood tests- anyone had a false negative?

For the past 10 weeks ive felt pregnant, however all preg tests have come back negative. I went to the gps because my periods have gone very light and also feeling preg and he gave me a HCG blood test. The results came back very low and she said its impossible that I am pregnant.
Anyhow, I still feel pregnant. I cant wear my normal trousers anymore, I had a few weeks where I felt constantly sick and I just feel pregnant.

Does anyone know if the HCG blood test can ever be wrong and how can I get a scan so I can see once and for all if I am or not. Could I pay privatly for a scan and would they do one based on the fact that theres no real evidence?

family planning clinics had a faulty batch delivered to them about three months ago they were recording false negatives. ie/ saying you wasn't when you were.

Always, even if there are very low levels they should be investigated, something is producing them. I'd push (hard) for a referral to a gyne and go from there
