Hi everyone I’m currently 14weeks had my 12 week scan two weeks ago and everything was fine . I’m just scared that somethings going to go wrong. I felt a hard ball when lying on one side the other day which I assume is my uterus and was really excited I haven’t felt similar since.

I wondered if any one else has anxiety in pregnancy.
Mine is particularly bad a few weeks after scan. Even though i had my scan two weeks ago I am scared that because im only 14 weeks and cant feel the baby yet as its my first child, that something has gone wrong that i am unaware of.
Also I have a private gender scan booked for two weeks and wondered what the peoples experiences were of these.
TIA

@amyyy333- I’ve just created a thread called “does the worry ever stop”! Completely get how you’re feeling... I’m also a first time Mum so struggle with knowing (or not knowing) what’s normal and what’s not etc...
My anxiety has eased to a certain extent (now just over 24 weeks) but it hasn’t gone away completely. It’s a daunting time, you’re not alone 💜

I'm a FTM and have suffered with anxiety for years. It definitely increased in the early days as it's a long wait between scans and wondering what's going on.
The worry is always there, but I kept distracted with work and thought, if something is wrong, there is nothing I can do. Worrying will make things worse. Just go with the flow. Call the Dr if you feel something significantly wrong like pain. Otherwise trust that your body is doing it's job. It becomes easier when you can feel the baby. I'm 30 weeks on Thursday. I have CBT to help with anxiety but only just started that.
You've got this. Just distract yourself to get through the next couple of weeks.
