I had awful morning sickness with my first it lasted for 5 months. I just dread having it all over again especially with a small child. What are you experiences?

Never had any sickness with any of my three pregnancies. Every pregnancy is different so you may be ok the next time.

100timewforgotten Do you mind me asking, were they all the same gender?

Only been pregnant twice sick as a dog both times for 12 weeks!!

Coffee345 · 23/08/2019 22:29

Nasty morning sickness with DD1. Nothing with DD2

Shahlalala · 23/08/2019 22:29

I had one pregnancy with no sickness, just didn’t like some things I previously did.
Second pregnancy I was sick as a dog from 5 weeks or so. Had a break in the middle and it came back third trimester.
First was a girl and second is a boy.

DramaAlpaca · 23/08/2019 22:33

I had morning, afternoon & evening sickness all three times, worse with each pregnancy & in all cases it didn't start to ease off until I was about 18 weeks. All three are the same sex.

Italia2005 · 23/08/2019 22:37

Horrendous morning sickness with first and got signed off work as anaemic til I could take iron at 12 weeks
Just finished BF at 8 months then morning sickness made me realise I was pregnant with second - periods didn’t resume so no idea of dates until first scan.
Exactly the same pregnancies, same vomiting and nausea, carried exactly the same, one daughter and one son.

whattodowith · 23/08/2019 23:57

Nope I only had it with my DS’s, nothing at all with my DD’s.

CointreauVersial · 24/08/2019 00:01

A little bit with the first one.
Terrible with the second one.
Hardly any with the third one.

There's no pattern!

CointreauVersial · 24/08/2019 00:01

That was boy, girl, girl.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 24/08/2019 00:13

I had none with a b and a g.

GrumpySausage · 24/08/2019 00:19

Yes, terrible sickness with my first, felt like it even before my period was late and carried on until 13 weeks. Had a boy.

2nd pregnancy was completely different. Not one bit of sickness. The only thing that made me test was a heightened sense of smell. If anything I was more paranoid with this pregnancy as the lack of sickness made me wonder if I was making it up or it might not be a healthy pregnancy. But my baby girl was born at 39+5 happy and healthy.

Just two very different pregnancies.

I've never had morning sickness with any of my three (two boys and a girl). I actually took part in a study at my hospital into morning sickness and why some get it and some don't. I think they were looking into gut bacteria, it'll be interesting to see what they find out.

Bambamber · 24/08/2019 00:34

First pregnancy I had everyday nausea and some vomiting up until about 14 weeks. I had a girl.

This pregnancy I'm 28 weeks and still sometimes vomiting. Nausea was horrendous up until 16 weeks and is still there now but not as bad as the first trimester

Walnutwhipster · 24/08/2019 00:38

HG with all three up until birth.

Walnutwhipster · 24/08/2019 00:40

B,B,G

yoursworried · 24/08/2019 00:47

I had it for most of my pregnancy with dc1 who is a girl. Dc2 I had it but it passed much quicker - a boy - it subsided by about 10 weeks.

Aquamarine1029 · 24/08/2019 00:48

Never had morning sickness and I had a big and a girl.

Nonstop1 · 24/08/2019 00:51

Terrible sickness throughout with both (boy and girl) but slightly different in some ways. The sickness made it unbearable but the difference made it bearable because you still had hope it would improve... plus you ‘know’ it ends.

Lilsquish · 24/08/2019 00:54

DD1 horrendous sickness day and night until around 34 weeks

DD2 moderate sickness until around 20 weeks

MO2x · 24/08/2019 01:13

Every pregnancy is different. When people asked me what did I think I was having (as I have a Dd and DS) I don't have a clue this is worst pregnancy yet for me. My little boy I didn't feel pregnant. My little girl everyone said I was like a weeble from waddling as I has ciatica reallyyy has an this new baby first 3 months my head was down toilet all the time an I have really strange funny turns were I go light headed. Not one has been the same ! X

100timewforgotten · 24/08/2019 07:10

@FoxAndTheBear my first two were boys and youngest a girl.

Skyejuly · 24/08/2019 07:11

1st was awful
2nd not much
3rd really bad
4th none

mistermagpie · 24/08/2019 12:26

I'm on pregnancy number three. Got morning sickness with my first and this one (this has been the worst pregnancy I'd say) but nothing with DS2. With him I'd never have known I was pregnant but he was a really hard baby so I'm hoping this one is easier... ha!

Bol87 · 24/08/2019 12:59

HG with both.. this second pregnancy is worse. The only positive is I know I’ll never have to do this again (no chance in hell, I’ll be implementing about 3 forms of contraception Grin ) & I know how lovely it will be come March! With your first, it’s all such an unknown but this time I at least have that spurring me on!
