Hello. I wondered if any of you ladies are giving birth at the Royal Surrey. I am only 8 weeks pregnant at the moment. I have been looking at their Birth and Beyond classes and they look really good so thinking of booking on to that after my 12 week scan. Would be great to hear from anybody who has done those. Not sure whether would need to do NCT as well or not. Any advice would be great.

Only attended one antenatal class there but it was useful. Didn't do NCT or anything else either.

For the birth, the hospital and midwives were amazing, good luck!

I had a good experience with them for the birth of DS three years ago - including consultant led antenatal care. Currently under their care for number two and have been really impressed again so far. Good luck with the baby! Smile

Yes we are there too. I am not doing any of the classes as this is my second baby, but we did do the free tour last week and was very impressed. Would recommend that one to have a look around and they also talk you through the other classes they do. They did say a lot of their classes were booked up until the end of the year so you may want to make enquiries now. We have been very impressed with them so far, always on time for appointments, easy to get hold of to arrange, appointment reminders via text and the app. I had my first in a very busy central London hospital and the difference is amazing.

@becca3210 I had all 3 of mine there. (3rd was meant to be a homebirth but he didn't want to arrive!)
The antenatal classes I did with dd1 were fab. I didn't do NCT or anything though. I'm planning a homebirth again (currently 4/5weeks ish) but if I can't have this one at home I'll be back to Royal Surrey.
Good luck with your pregnancy :)
