Help, I can't stop eating :(

I found out I was pregnant not long ago and I get married in two weeks. I thought all would be fine as would still be very early but oh my lord, I can't stop eating.

I feel absolutely sick to my stomach if I don't constantly nibble on something. By lunch I am ravenous and feel like I need something substantial, I honestly can't even face the salads and soup etc... I've been having to lose weight on the run up to the wedding.

Did anyone else have this? Can I ask how you managed it? What did you eat that was both healthy but filling?

I sound dramatic but I honestly feel hungry 24/7 at the moment it's ridiculous, I wasn't expecting this so early on

Hey I'm nearly 26 weeks an I haven't changed I'm still hungry all the time or I don't feel hungry at all I tend to on my hungry days just try snack a lot of apples an oranges fruits mostly xx

I had the same ! I needed like salty snacks little and often. Then lunch was a bigger meal.

Try and fill up more on protein than carbs. So I would have chicken and cous cous for lunch (low fat cous cous and super cheap too)

Snack wise, I would always try to snack on fruit or under 100 crisp type snack things like pretzels or crackers.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and all the best for your wedding!!

Oh and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Xx

I'm so worried about not getting in my dress! I keep trying it on just to make sure.

Today I had jacket potato for lunch and I really could have eaten it again after I'd finished. It's crazy.

Congratulations, what an exciting time for you! Smile

Porridge is always filling, hot drinks can be as long as you have decaf/don’t go over the limit, peanut butter isn’t low cal but filling.

I wanted nothing but crackers, crisps and chips all the time at the start, major salt cravings so I know how you feel lol!

I got married in July at 24+6... I just bought a new dress 😂

Try porridge weetabix etc might be a bit more filling? I also use protein shakes but had used them before becoming pregnant so know I can tolerate them.

Yes to the salt thing. I made H (to be!) go and get me a big bag of salt and vinegar crisps the other day and just ate them all. .

I just hate the feeling of never being satisfied. I eat a full meal and all I'm thinking is 'i could eat that again'.

I'm not even 12 weeks yet what the hell.

The only blessing is I seem to have gone completely off anything sweet. So sweets themselves is a no, as is chocolate at the min, cake etc... Envy

It's just carbs I want. Savoury stuff. I could sit and eat potatoes and pies and crisps all day.

I was the same. I tried to eat fruit but I was even getting up through the night to eat! No tips on managing it I'm afraid I put on 3 and a half stone Confused

@StuffingFace I was exactly the same as you when I first found out I was pregnant! All I wanted was white bread and cheese. I didn't want chocolate at all (and I am a known chocoholic) and only wanted sweets like fruit pastilles or jelly tots. I feel like I did put on unnecessary weight in my first trimester but I can most definitely say it's calmed down now that I'm in my second trimester!
Sorry to say I have no tips in managing it. I just came to the conclusion that it's pretty normal so please don't worry yourself over it 😊
