Could the test be wrong?

I took a Clearblue Early Detection pregnancy test 6 days after my missed period and it said negative.
That was a week ago and I still haven’t had a period. Could that test have been wrong, or was I wrong to use the early detection version when I used it after missing a period?
I’m so confused!

Well if you ovulated very late or you're one of the rare women who don't really excrete HCG into your urine, it could have been wrong i.e. you could now be pregnant and it was too early to pick up then. But it's normal to skip periods occasionally for non-pregnancy reasons, so with negative tests well after you were due it is unlikely you are pregnant.

My daughter got the contraceptive implant and had a pregnancy test the same day. Could she have been just a couple of days pregnant and the test was wrong and if she is pregnant will the implant harm the baby..?
