Hey!
I've just had a very early miscarriage/ chemical pregnancy-4ish weeks. I've stopped bleeding so I'm wanting to start trying again.
I know you're more fertile after having a baby so Is it the same after you've had a miscarriage?
Has anyone conceived straight after a miscarriage/chemical pregnancy?

So sorry to hear of you loss. I had an early miscarriage at around 4+6 and immediately tried again and fell pregnant straight away, I'm 11+2 now. There was a thread I was on for ladies TTC after early miscarriage that month and a few of us caught again the next month so it happens 😊 Good luck!

@satsumasaturday & @Sparkle0109 Ah ladies that's fab news!!!! I hope you both continue to have happy and healthy pregnancies ❤️

Did you track your ovulation or just go with the flow? Xx

Yes straight after chemical pregnancy. I used the bleeding from miscarriage as first day of period for counting purposes. I'm a very tentative 9 weeks now. I read some research that said conceptions straight after chemical pregnancies are more likely to be successful pregnancies, there was no explanation as to why that may be the case.

Oh and I went with the flow, had sex every day for around a week, but tested fairly early on and got a positive

Yes straight away, chemical on 7th May, positive test on 7th June! Now 15+3.😊

You can but advice is to wait at least one cycle for every month you were pregnant to allow your body to recover and maximise nutrients for your subsequent healthy pregnancy, eg for very early allow one normal period, for a miscarriage at 12 weeks wait 3. This isn't about mental health, just your body, some people need to wait longer to be mentally ready

Last year I had a miscarriage 2nd April and got a positive test 11th May. Baby is now 7months!

I’m really sorry about your loss. I had an early miscarriage in April (5 weeks) and conceived again right away. Coming up to 19 weeks now and everything is looking good. I was told by the EPU and my doctor that it was fine to try again right away, and I’m so glad I did. Best of luck if you go this route.

@Staceywaceywooo I did track and also used the first day of red bleeding as the first day of my cycle (had some brown spotting a couple of days before). I then used OPKs as i also dislocated my knee in between the MC and ovulation 🙈 so i wasn't at peak performance to TTC everyday - it needed precision timing 😂

Sparkle0109 · 22/08/2019 07:30

@Staceywaceywooo I tracked ovulation etc and was taking BBT but I was using them prior to MC anyway. I started tracking ovulation straight after I stopped bleeding which did show positives for a week or so even though I didnt ovulate but I suppose that was left over hormones
