This may be tmi but I think I lost my mucus plug at the weekend I am 35 weeks pregnant and it was creamy colour and really thick and mucus like! No blood in it but I have heard it doesn't have to be bloody which I didn't realise. Has anyone lost it and still not had there baby just abit concerned as I am only 35 weeks

Hope to hear from someone soon 😊

I lost my plug at 35+3, my was the same as you described but I was in the bath at the time so when I got out to dry myself I had blood down below. Anyway phoned triage, my waters started to go as I was on the phone and then baby was born the next day at 35+4 xx

Your plug can grow back. It’s not necessarily the start of something unfortunately.

@Unicorn234 wow really!!! I didn't have any blood though so I am guessing maybe I didn't lose all of it. But just out of interest did everything go okay? Even though your baby was 5 weeks early!

@Sexnotgender really that's interesting well I would rather not have her this early so it wouldn't be unfortunate

I lost my plug at 34+6 and had my daughter at 35+2.

We thought I had severe trapped wind but it was labour. Just keep an eye on yourself! Good luck!

I didn’t go into labour for two weeks after losing mine.

@Hannahb123 I literally finished work on the Friday to start my maternity leave and I had him on the Saturday 😂 no rest for me lol. Yes everything was fine, he had jaundice so was on the heated bed for a few days to get the jaundice levels down. I had him on the Saturday and we were home on the Wednesday. He weighed 5lb4oz and was tiny lol. My partners mum had to go out and buy loads of tiny baby clothes 😂 xx

I also went into labour the day after losing mine at 36+5, but when I phoned triage they said most people last a week or two longer so I didn't expect anything more to happen for a few weeks. I imagine this thread isn't representative of the general pregnant population as not everyone even loses their plug in such an obvious fashion.

Thanks everyone for replying

@Unicorn234 bless you!!!! I am lucky I work in a School so had the school holidays off before my maternity even starts lol. I have been feeling very uncomfortable last night and today with like tummy ache but not contractions as I remember then as if it was yesterday from my first pregnancy 😂😂😂 but then who know this might be the start just hope not I wanna make at least 37 lol

@Hannahb123 oh that's good, at least you've had some time off! Yeah I lost my plug, waters went and then when I got to hospital I was already 1cm dilated but I didn't start getting pains till about 3 hours later so I just couldn't stop laughing at my partner who was like a nervous wreck 😂 there was no stopping my little boy, it was all done and dusted after 12 hours lol xx

I lost mine right on 37 weeks and had DS a week later - I don’t think it’s that uncommon for it to take even longer though.
