Hi,
Has anyone used an epi-no? The balloon you insert into your vagina to help stretch it?
I am 32 weeks and my doctor today suggested that as I am track for a big baby that this may help to stretch everything beforehand and it will cause less tearing/damage/chance of instrumental delivery etc.

It doesn't seem like a common thing though in the UK?

@edidxb hey. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm only 20 weeks currently but I am considering getting one (I think there are slightly cheaper ones on the market).

My friend used one and she didn't tear/no stitches were required and she enjoyed her birth (also did hypnobirthing). My other friend also bought one but didn't use it in the end as I think it freaked her out! Good luck

Ok, that's good to know. I will order one and see if I can use it OK! I'm a bit squeamish but think will just have to do it!
