Sharp pains up my bum into my lower stomach

Coming up for 30 weeks pregnant.And I get these AWFUL sharp pains up my bum into my belly.Like theres a pole up there!I just freeze and cant move until it goes Blush I've had it a few times in the earlier months & put it down to constipation...I suffer with that a lot & have been given lactulose...But it happened again today & at this late stage.Im like omg what's happening!Anyone else had this...it isnt prolonged or all the time or obviously I would ring midwife ect...I have mentioned it to her & g.p and was told constipation...Can constipation really give you this pain!! Shock

Yes, constipation can be extremely painful and give stabbing pains. If you've had them throughout your pregnancy and been reassured that it's constipation then I wouldn't worry too much. I had horrible constipation with both my pregnancies.
