32w and baby's kicks are killing me

Ivf baby, don't mean to complain, i know how effing lucky i am.

But the baby's kicks are absolutely killing me! This is my second pregnancy, and i don't remember this AT ALL. Kicks in my lower abdomen, bladder, guts etc and it makes me jump it hurts so much. I remember kicks and movements being reassuring, but this is crazy.

I don't know what i'm looking for here, maybe a bit of solidarity? To hear the painful jabs calm down at 33w??

My DD was like that. Even know she is very boisterous and incredibly strong. At 33 weeks I took my niece on a steam train now realising it was miniature. It was so cramped and baby was right in my ribs. I was tempted to walk back instead of suffering through the return journey.

This baby is so much more active than my first.. i was hoping he'd chill out after birth but looks like i'm getting a sense of his personality already. Aarrgghh!

I'm 30 weeks and having exactly the same, even the midwife has said his kicks are very hard!

I had this for 10 weeks and it was hell and there's nothing that you can do but just letting you know you aren't alone. Sorry.

Thanks for your replies and solidarity

I'm sure i'm now being kicked in the bladder, it's starting to hurt to pee! How is this baby so strong and pointy??

Did rubbing your bellies make any difference?

I'm in the exact same boat! 33 weeks tomorrow and baby is extremely active. This is my first baby so nothing to compare it with but even the doctor commented on my latest scan how active he/she is! I really feel like it is constant movement, without end!! I worry that my baby never seems to be sleeping! But as others have said, this is probably positive. Interestingly, multiple friends who have children have told me that the kicks in the stomached mimicked their kids activity in real life. So my friend has two daughters, the first she didn't feel much, and in fact she's quite chilled whereas the second was super active and is like that in real life too. So maybe we're in for some high activity for the next few years haha!

Same here 29 weeks. My DD was very active and strong but this one is...aggressive seems the wrong word but fits! Had to go in for monitoring yesterday due to a bleed and the midwife commented on how strong he is. It really does knock the wind out of you.

Oh and my daughter is super chilled so I dont think it does mean he will be a crazy child. She just didnt like the womb

CucinaBreakfast · 29/08/2019 01:54

Buyitinbamboo that's what I'm hoping is the case! Although i'm prepared for a 'spirited' second child given that both dh and i were exactly that.. 😬 my dm will say it's karma.
