Wet the bed 🤦‍♀️ or waters leaked? DC2, 21 weeks

Hi

I haven’t wet the bed in what, over 30 years! But I woke up last night lying in a big wet patch. Got up went to the toilet and had a wee - didn’t think too much about it. Definitely haven’t got a UTI as saw midwife on Friday.

But actually, thinking about it now, I have a little bit of pressure low down at bottom of tummy but certainly no period pains etc. Not leaking anything now.

What do you reckon - just a simple bet wet?! Or should I tell midwife.

I'd speak to the midwife or pregnancy assessment unit at your local hospital. It's worth getting checked over

I'd get it checked out too, it might be a one off bed wetting incident but its still a bit unusual

What does it smell like OP? Are you still leaking?

Urine and amniotic fluid both have telltale smells. Have you washed the bedding yet? If not, amniotic fluid smells sweet. If you're not sure do go and get checked.

Id contact your midwife unit. I know this is horrible but smell it ,if its a sweet smell that could be your waters if not then u know the smell of urine.
I thought mine broke a few weeks ago but was just urine they took me in they have a look then do a swab test to see if your waters have broken,its always best to get checked over.

Thanks ladies. No not leaking now. I did try smelling it actually but I literally cannot smell or taste anything at the moment due to a cold!

Please go and get checked out just to be on the safe side.
