So long story short I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago and I have the implant.
I want for a private scan on the day we find out and was told baby measured 6 +3.
We think we worked out we conceived the very start of June, but not sure.
I read somewhere yesterday that the scan size may have been the gestation of the baby not how many weeks I am and that I need to add two weeks to this date. So know I’m not sure how far along I am.
Can anyone enlighten me please x

When was your last period? They should go by that and then dates should roughly be the same give or take. Did you have a period roughly 6+3 weeks ago?

Thank you, I’m on the implant so don’t have periods so had to try and figure out when conception was x

Oh. Sorry! So going by the weeks you have been given, how many weeks are you today?

When was your scan?

I think you conceived around beginning of July.

I am 10 weeks tomorrow if I go off the scan I have. I did a test on the 24th July and that came back 5+ weeks ok the clear blue tests x

In the UK scan dates are usually how far along you are and not gestation of the baby, so you shouldn't need to add the 2 weeks on.

Thanks

I'd hazard a guess that you conceived at the end of June counting back in weeks from today. Gestation is the period of time between conception and birth. Gestational age is the common term used during pregnancy to describe how far along the pregnancy is.

Hope that helps and congratulations!
