Do I need to see a midwife?

I was in a car accident last night - do I need to see a midwife as I am 17weeks?
I don't have any pains or injuries. I have just been very upset and stressed about it all. Mainly as the other driver is trying to blame me although it is not my fault at all and I'm finding it stressful to deal with.

The car hit us from the side so I didn't make us jolt forwards or backwards.

Any advice would be great.

If you want to for reassurance, that’s fine and I’m sure they’d be happy to see you but you don’t need to unless there was trauma to your bump.

Yes, I would speak to her for reassurance.

I think I will give them a call. I didn't really think about it until my DB mentioned it this evening. Been dealing with the insurance all day Sad

I second calling them. They'll tell you if you need to do anything else

I have called them. They said to have a sugary drink and lie on my left side to see if it makes the baby move. If not felt anything overnight then call them again in the morning.

it's also to early to use a heart monitor atm and they don't want to try it incase we don't hear anything and it just makes me more anxious.

MW said she is pretty sure it will be fine as it was just a bumb 🙂
