Missed period, negative test?

Hi all! I’m 5 days late and am usually like clockwork but both the tests I’ve done (first thing in the morning) have been negative.
With my DD I had negatives till I was almost 2 weeks late, could it just be that I don’t produce the pregnancy hormone enough to show straight away?

Any advice is appreciated!

That, or you can ovulate late which will give you a later positive or af.

AF arrived a matter of hours after I posted this.
